Yesterday I had the joy of taking part in a beautiful act of charity in support of the Stroke Association.

Through my basic job at Brakes Tamworth, I had the chance to contribute with a fresh, trio chocolate cake with an intense summer‑fruit flavour.
Some people prefer very sweet cakes, others love something fresh - but most appreciated that burst of summer fruit. On a warm day like yesterday, something fresh was exactly what people needed.

What stayed with me the most was that special feeling of doing something good. Even if we’re not talking about millions, the impact is real.
A small gesture, made at the right moment, can change someone’s tomorrow.
And tomorrow… any of us could be in the position of those supported by the Stroke Association.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who bought a slice and I’d love to see even more colleagues join in next time.
A piece of something sweet can truly change a life.
