Bucking the Trend in Swindon
In a time, when traditional retail sales are struggling and shops on the high street are going out of business, we have decided to try something different.
We’ve opened a new Retail Shop! Why you ask?
Well we have been trading on-line for a while now, but the might of ebay, Amazon and Paypal are making it financially unviable. By the time you’ve listed a product, shipped it, paid the fees and then, dealt with any returns, you’re simply left with no profit at all.
Not a good trading position to be in and why so many on-line sites are failing.
Why are we different?
· We have access to a huge range of clearance products at a very low price point.
· We already had a staff shop and it was easy to convert it to a clearance shop.
· We’ve been able to staff it using existing employees.
So, what do we sell?
On the lead up to Christmas 2019, we have dedicated half of the shop to Sportswear and the other half to Cookware.
For sportswear we have an extensive range of clothing and footwear from adidas, Asics, Puma, Canterbury, Gilbert and many more. We have football boots, trainers, rugby shirts, balls, gym wear, base layers etc.
Our cookware and utensils range, from manufacturers such as Carl Schmidt Sohn and Charterhouse is at the premium end of the market. More John Lewis than Asda.
What kind of discounts do we offer?
In many cases, we are just looking to recover the original cost price for the products. Typically, we price at half price or more.
