Sally here with what I’ve been reading this week.
Only one this week “ Theo of Golden” by Allen Levi.
86 year old Theo arrives in the town of Golden, South America. He is extremely private about his background but excellent at getting people to open up about theirs. There are 92 pencil portraits hanging in n the local cafe and Theo makes it his mission to bye them, one by one, and give them to the person whose portrait it is.
Through doing this stories are told, friends are made and lives are changed. This is a massive recommend from me, I can’t stop thinking about it and the ending is probably one of the best I’ve ever read! I really did not see that coming!
One of my favourite characters, and there were many, was Tony who owns the book shop ‘Verbivore’ and is always “One week away from closing”
