Now that winter has taken a turn its time to pull out all the stops by making your bait as attractive as possible.
Solid bags are already a killer tactic in winter but what you put inside them can make all the difference, try pimping up the already excellent pellet pva bag mix with some liver extracts, a little edge I've been using to great effect recently.
Here's my preferred method; I start by mixing some of the pva bag mix with a little powdered liver extract and fill about 10mm of this in the bottom of the bag. The lead and rig is then dipped in liquid liver extract and dusted off with the liver powder, the lead is placed in first against the back of the bag with the hook bait hanging outside. Fill with the pellet mix to around halfway, tuck the rig in keeping untangled and separated from the lead and fill the rest of the way before tapping down, tying off or licking & twisting and finally tucking the corners in.
I thought I would post this up for you guys today to hopefully help get a few more fish on the bank this winter,

Caught on crushed xtream-G and a hand full of pellets with a sprinkle of chopped worms.

So on christmas night i went off to my local water for 3 nights and on boxing day morning at 5:30am i was woken by a very slow beeping and when i reeled in i found this beauty just rolling over the net caught on a special bright yellow krill wafter i had made with some pellet in a bag
🎣🎣 as you can see i was one happy boy and what a fish to end 2023 on 🎣🎣
