This week's wine pick is Brash Higgins MCC.

A blend of Mataro, also known as Mourvedre or Monastrell, Cinsault and Carignan from McLaren Vale in South Australia. Sweet red fruit contrasts the spiciness on the palate and finishes clean, dry and focused with rose petal and cherry notes. Delicious and perfect for those late August BBQ's as the nights draw in!

First up is Vina Carmen Meet the Winemaker Supper Club where we'll be talked through wines from Chile's oldest winery by Ana Maria Cumsille, Chief Winemaker.

This week's no show hall of fame goes to...

We don't like making a big deal out of this but no shows cost the hospitality industry billions annually.

We moved in extra tables and chairs to accommodate the x 2 tables that were apparently grateful to be given valuable slots with us at peak times and we are always willing to help out and oblige where we can.

We are a small independent business with limited space and we could have filled those tables on multiple occasions but turned bookings away.

We get its lush out atm and things can happen and we hope all are ok but it takes 30 seconds to let us know you can't make it.

We'd hope that cancelling bookings should just be a matter of common courtesy.

Please, if you can't make a booking with us or another hospitality business just let them know.
