Thank you to everyone who shared the bloom jar post, if you commented a 🌸 you should have received a riddle.

And because I didn’t get notification of everyone’s share I’m going to hide more blooms. 💐🔥

Here’s the clue🫆

Where guides gather and scouts meet.
There’s sometimes the patter of tiny feet.
Find the building where groups belong,
Your bunch of blooms won’t wait long. 🌼

They will be waiting from 11am, still time to share, drop a 🌸

Good luck!

I’m loving this a bit too much 🕵️‍♂️

Yes!! We’re on the same page! Thanks to everyone who voted on my stories. It seems you are also lovers of textural, pastel, vintage vibes!! For those who voted for tulips I’ll still do a few, nothing says spring is here quite like those babies. But we will be extra floaty and frilly.

As a lil thank you treat, something lovely will be hidden in the village this weekend, watch this space for clues 🕵️‍♂️💐.

I can get sowing now 🌱 thank you ☺️

Next year I would like to grow what you love too.
I’m going to pop a few stories on tonight if you could vote on your faves that would be ace!!

Thank you 🌱

I’ll be sowing next years annuals in a couple of weeks. How is it this time already?!

I’ve been busy collecting seed and testing viability, which is always exciting! The magic of flower growing, still blows my mind, I’ll never get bored 🌱✨

Buying local flowers is about so much more than bringing home a beautiful bouquet. Here’s why.

✈️ They haven’t travelled halfway around the world.

That means fewer transport miles, less packaging, and fresher blooms.

🐝 Local flowers support pollinators.

Which means, more insects like bees and butterflies help crops thrive, acting as natural pest control, letting ladybirds and birds feed on pests such as aphids. Your flowers are also chemical free! (I’ve delivered a few ladybirds with my bloom buckets this week, I love how people love that 🐞)

📍It supports community.

Retaining money in the local economy, supporting other businesses. I’ve met so many lovely people this year, been supported and supported other small businesses.

🌸 They give you a big dose of whimsey.

Delicate flowers don’t travel well, you want bouncy cosmos, dramatic dahlias and beautifully scented sweet peas, uk grown is the way to go.

And it makes me incredibly grateful that I get to grow and pick beautiful flowers all summer long, so thank you 🙏🏻.

When I’m not flowering I have a lovely day job working for Humber Learning Consortium on projects like this.

There are still spaces on this programme and we are also looking for a mentor to join our lovely team. It’s such a lovely place to work and the reason I don’t flower full time.
