🦋 A little update from me… 🦋

First of all, I want to say another heartfelt sorry for my absence from here lately. Life has thrown a few challenges our way in the last few months — there’s been a fair bit of family worries and other stuff to deal with, and heartbreakingly, we’ve also lost our gorgeous boy cat, Merlin (my little crafting companion). His twin sister is understandably struggling, and she’s become incredibly clingy — which means crafting time has been practically non-existent.

Thank you so much to those of you who’ve checked in — your kindness and patience really does mean the world right now 💜

That said, I did manage to steal a quiet moment to make this birthday card for my lovely sister-in-law (which she has now received so I can post it) 🎁 Happy Birthday Lyn 🎁

Soft pinks, cherry blossoms, and a touch of shimmer — I really enjoyed bringing this one together and it felt good to get creative again, even if it was just for a little while.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to share more soon. Until then, thanks for sticking with me 💕

🌟 Cardmaking Update! 🌟

I just wanted to share a little behind-the-scenes of what I’ve been working on this week…

Some of you may have seen my recent post about some cards I made for a fete to help raise funds for my favourite hedgehog rescue. They went down so well that the lovely lady running the stall asked me to make 5 more of each design — that’s 40 cards in total! 🦔💚

Despite working full-time, I’ve managed to make all of them in just one week (minus a few that didn’t make the cut — quality control is strict around here! 😂). I’ve got just 9 left to finish, and then they’ll all be ready to go!

If you fancy popping along to support a great cause (and maybe treat yourself to a card or two), the fete is tomorrow at Highclare School on Sutton Road in Erdington, starting at 12:30pm. All proceeds from my cards will go to help the hedgehog rescue 🦔💕

Here’s a peek at the batch so far — all carefully packaged and ready to go, there’s a short video in the comments too! (Because Facebook will only allow me to post one or the other and not both together 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Hello my lovely friends!

Firstly, I want to start by saying a huge sorry for being so absent lately. I know it probably feels like I’m always apologising for disappearing—but truthfully, it hasn’t been the easiest start to the year for me.

Some of you already know that I’ve been struggling for a while with persistent nosebleeds. I’ve now had my nose cauterised four times—the final time under general anaesthetic, where they also took a biopsy. Since then, I’ve had three more serious bleeds, each lasting over 45 minutes. It’s been exhausting, both physically and emotionally.

That said, I’m very hopeful that I’m now finally on the road to recovery 🙏 and doing my best to keep up with crafting, which has always been my therapy and escape.

So, I wanted to share a few of the cards I’ve made recently. They’re now proudly on display at a craft fayre today (Saturday 7th June) at Solihull Lodge Community Centre, from 10am–4pm, helping to raise funds for Solihogs Hedgehog Rescue 🦔💚

Solihogs is a wonderful charity that rescues, rehabilitates and releases injured or poorly hedgehogs back into the wild. Their work is completely self-funded and relies heavily on donations and community support—so every little helps.

If you’re nearby and fancy popping in, it would mean a lot—not just to me, but to the hedgehogs too!

Good morning, you lovely lot!

Today’s a special one—it’s my birthday! 🎉🎂 And I thought it was the perfect moment to pop in and say hello.

I also want to say a big sorry for being so quiet recently. As some of you may know, I sadly lost two very dear friends last month, and it really took the wind out of my sails. I’ve taken a bit of time away from social media to process and heal—but I promise I haven’t been sitting idle. 💕

I’ve still been creating behind the scenes, and I’d love to share some of the pieces I’ve made during this little sabbatical of mine. ✂️🎨

✨ Exciting Update! ✨

Hey everyone! I wanted to take a moment to highlight something for those who may have missed it.

I’ve officially rebranded from Inspired Gifts by Sam to Sam’s Gift and Card Studio!

This is something I’ve been thinking about for a while and have given it much consideration… (including doing a group poll with mixed results 🥹)

I felt this new name better represents the variety of mixed media crafts I now create. From mugs, pencil cases and key rings to cards and beyond, I wanted a name that truly reflects everything I do.

Finally, I want to thank you all for your support on this creative journey - I’m excited for what’s to come! 🔮

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to take a moment to apologise for my absence recently. The past few weeks have been incredibly tough, as I’ve had to say goodbye to two very dear friends—both taken far too soon and just weeks apart. It’s been a heartbreaking time, but I’ve found comfort in keeping busy with my crafts.

I’d love to share a few of my recent makes with you, which have helped me stay creative during this difficult time.

I’m also excited to let you know that I’ll soon be adding some new items to my collection!
I’ll be making personalised bags—perfect for storing medicines, snacks, nail essentials, cosmetics, and more. These will make thoughtful, practical gifts or a handy treat for yourself.

Hey everyone! Just a little update to let you know I haven’t vanished off the face of the earth just yet! 😆✨

I’m still here and will be sharing more of my creations with you very soon. I’ve just been battling a nasty head cold 🤧, which has unfortunately triggered my trigeminal neuralgia 😣—so I’ve been feeling a bit out of sorts.
