Hello, sorry for being a little absent recently, just back from a week in Scotland šŸ“󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁓ó æ

Planning some classes shortly - including jersey PJ bottoms, a shirred top and possibly a 3 or 4 week dressmaking course.

I have spaces still on the wrap/shawl workshop and zipped cushion cover workshop (both in September). See my pinned post at the top of my page but just drop me a message if you would like to know more.

2 glorious days of beautiful sandy beaches and clear warm seas…who needs the Caribbean, Scotland has THE best beaches.

My morning walk with Mollie was stunning as the tide was out, stood watching a heron - we are staying opposite Fidra Island on Yellowcraig Beach. This afternoon we walked through the woodland to stay cool and a Roe Deer jumped out right in front of us! 🦌 (it was amazing!) then across the golf course onto the sand dunes.

Halloumi and red pepper kebabs devoured, now chilling out waiting for the eclipse šŸŒ™

Fidra Island: It is famous as the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel Treasure Island and serves as a protected RSPB seabird reserve with a lighthouse built in 1885 and Ruins of a medieval chapel date back to 1165.

A couple of finished projects to show from 2 of my ladies…1 reversible quilted ā€˜autumn’ jacket. 1 upcycled shirt.

Judith used a bedspread and unpicked the binding to re-use on the jacket, she changed the angle of the pockets and made French seams so totally reversible! ā¤ļø

Ann-Marie upcycled a men’s shirt, removed the collar cut off 5cm from the hemline and made a frilled collar, altered and shortened the sleeves to add pleats and added diamond darts to the back to make it more fitted. ā¤ļø

Both amazing upcycling projects, well done both x

Well who watched Sewing šŸ last night? Best episode yet…no spoilers here but did you see the knickers?!? I for one have made all my own and still make them from upcycling t-shirts and jersey items! Shall I do another class?

It’s such a good fun workshop to do, learning the Burrito gusset method (hidden seams) and the best bit is, you’ll absolutely love wearing them. ā¤ļø
