Many of you will know that we’ve recently reissued the Skylark, a model that proved very popular in the past. While staying true to the original design, we’ve made a few small tweaks and improvements.

One feature that has caught a lot of attention is the new pony truck spring. We’ve had a number of requests from customers with older Skylarks and other kits that use pony trucks, so we’ve taken some photos to show this new addition.

Over the coming weeks we’ll also be testing it on other kits, including the GVT, to see how well it performs with those chassis.

Skylark is Back — Re-Released and Better Than Ever!

Some of you may have spotted the re-released engine on our stand at the Midlands Garden Railway Show this weekend — but for those who couldn’t make it, we’re excited to officially announce that the ever-popular Skylark kit is now available again!

This latest version features several upgrades, including:
A new 30:1 gear ratio for improved performance
Our new pony truck spring, which drew a lot of interest over the weekend.

When we first started supplying coupling chains with our rolling stock, we didn’t think many people would notice. How wrong we were.
We’ve had many emails and requests asking for more to replace existing ones.

So, we’ve decided to offer our coupling chains as a standalone item.

They’re available in two options:
• 2-pack of 3-link chains – ideal if you don’t want the hassle of cutting them yourself
• 12-inch (1 foot) length – perfect if you need multiple chains or a variety of lengths

With their pre-weathered finish, they blend in far better than the very eye-catching chrome alternatives.

As many of you will know, we’re attending our first show at the end of February, and we’re excited to finally reveal which one!

We’re delighted to be attending the Midlands Garden Railway Show at the Warwickshire Event Centre from 28th February to 1st March.

Doors open 10am–4pm on both days.

Exciting News!
