LAST DAY OF TRADING

Well here we are. We have spent this month organising and clearing out our offices and storage. It’s been quite cathartic and satisfying actually. And although I’ve felt the pangs of letting go, I have enjoyed the nostalgia and haven’t had a moment of regret. I am ready for reflection and freedom and a clean slate.

Today will be the last day of trading on our website. There isn’t much left I’m afraid, but I have tacked on an additional discount.

I am planning a big barn sale early summer at our farm in the Cotswolds - including much of the furniture from the shop, archive and sample pieces from our fashion collections, and many of my own personal belongings including homewares, antiques and clothing. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Branch Trust in Chipping Norton, our local town. So do stay tuned here and to our newsletter for updates.

I’d like to think I’ll stay in touch whether with my travel tips (that have reached more people than anything else!), style inspiration, or whatever I feel compelled to share, but I’m going to to give myself some time to rest for now and leave some space for my next ideas to find their way to me.

Thanks a million for your enthusiasm and support for the last 6+ years.

Dearest Cutter Brooks followers, As you know I closed the shop in August in order to create some space to take stock of my life and re-evaluate how to move forward with Cutter Brooks as a business. At that time, I had already placed my orders for the remainder of the year, so instead of backing out of my commitment to our beloved vendors, I decided to continue online until the end of the year. And how could I resist one more Christmas, my most favourite collection of the year? This autumn has been the beginning of the relief I was seeking - a smaller team, fewer products, more time for family, friends, cooking and exercise. But it has also been a challenge to keep my energy up when I was so close to the freedom I crave. At last that time has come. I am looking forward to moving the stress out of my body, sitting still to contemplate my future, and reacquainting myself with the voice in my head that isn’t a small business owner, frantically running from one thing to the next. After that, who knows? I may come back to reinvigorate Cutter Brooks with a new vision, or I may do something entirely different.

Today we launched a HIBERNATION SALE including everything available on our website, so you can take advantage of savings offered with the holidays in full swing.

I want to thank you wholeheartedly for your enthusiasm and support over the last 6+ years and especially the past few months. I promise you will be the first to know as I make decisions about the future.
