I never trade over the summer because of unpredictable weather. A table full of chocolate would not look quite the same by the end of the day right now!!
So this is an ideal opportunity to work on all those projects that have been shelved over the last 6 months
It's time to create again!

My original vision was to build a world for Seven Crows.
A world inspired by folklore and fairytales, Victorian aesthetics and a love for the macabre.
A world that combined dark, beautiful artwork and sculptures, floral collector pieces, and luxurious gothic confectionery.
A world of opulent decay

I still think that there is a place for that.
I want that vision to become reality

I want to build that world and make it mine

Seven Crows is no longer a year round business, it is going back to what it was always meant to be.

When I first started Seven Crows it was never meant to be a constant production line.
It was supposed to be an outlet for ideas created in an edible medium.
It was supposed to be unusual edible sfx, chocolate that looked like real bone, teeth made out of sugar.
It was supposed to be work that didn't need to be repeated or scaled.

Over time it has moved into work that requires structure and repetition. It has become something that needs to work, needs to pay the bills, and it became something that took away the freedom of creating and experimenting.

I don't want that, so I'm stepping back.
I'm taking the pressure off and allowing the creative side to take over again.

There will be no more online shop and no continuous production and trading.
It will now exist as as an occasional pop up at a few events, nowhere else

Each appearance will act as a space for experimentation and a chance to push the boundaries a bit more.
An opportunity to be creative again because I want to, not because I need to justify it.

It will be what it was always meant to be

Our chocolate gothic windows are ready for "Witch, please" goth & alt fayre by this Sunday!

Although it's pretty cool right now, it won't be long before it's too hot for our chocolates, so pop along and see us at the Trinity in Bristol, 12-5 and grab some while you can!

The Cabinets are slowly expanding!

Alongside the chocolate scarabs, these potion bottles will be joining our collections as part of a growing range of smaller individual items.
The intention is simple, to offer more ways to enter the world of Seven Crows.

Each piece is still carefully hand poured using the finest quality Belgian chocolate, before being dusted with a soft golden lustre to bring out the details, but in a format that is an awful lot easier to bring yourself to eat!

The potion bottles are available in milk chocolate and dark chocolate and will be appearing at upcoming markets as part of our evolving collections.

Our newest addition is proving very popular indeed 😃

As an ancient symbol of resurrection and the cycle of life they make an ideal addition to the Cabinet of the Necromancer.

Our gold dusted scarab beetles are currently available in milk or dark chocolate or, for something completely different, marzipan!

After three years of growing, creating, and learning, it’s time to pause and reflect.
We’re taking a moment to assess where we are, refine our offerings, and make thoughtful changes for the future of the shop.

When we reopen, the range will be slightly smaller but more intentional, a collection shaped by what you've loved the most.
This will allow us to explore more designs and experiment with seasonal collections and new themes.

In the meantime, we're exploring ways to bring more of our creations online, so even from afar you can experience the little artifacts we make with care.
Thank you for your patience and for being part of this journey, there’s more magic to come

Making flowers doesn't allow you to rush.

They demand your full attention.

The petals have to be gently thinned and shaped, supported in the right places at the right time. Carefully moved into place when they are just beginning to hold their shape.
Left alone at the right moment.
One hurried move and the petal tears.
One thoughtless placement and the balance is off.

Coming back to them after the frantic pace of the last few weeks feels like rest.
There's something very satisfying and almost meditative about a medium that refuses to be rushed.
I have to work with it, not force it where I want it to go.
It requires a focus that isn't sharp and intense, it's an internal focus, a way of reconnecting with who I am and what I love

Massive thanks to the organisers and staff too, it wouldn't be possible without you.
