Metal Beast X-stitch seeks to offer something a bit different in subject matter to the stitching community. Things like The Flying Scotsman and Mallard, Spitfire and Concorde, E-type Jaguars and Aston Martins are quite widely available. After doing cross stitching for many years, I realised that nobody did the more contemporary or modern classics that often go unsung. Henceforth, after much delibe
ration I decided to plug that niche and create what I think is missing out there. Using my vast collection of photos that I have taken over the years at various airports, airshows, stations and shows to create what I hope people will like and want. My designs give a photo quality finished result, without any complicated stitching or backstitching. I design using the Anchor colour range as generally I find they give a huge range and quality whilst being a tad cheaper to buy than DMC!! I'm not aiming to make millions from this, so I will be pricing the charts and kits at what I consider a fair price. Looking at what is commercially available amazes me how much some companies do charge!! Metal Beast will also offer to create bespoke charts on request, but that is looking to the future more so than the present!
