Does your terrarium need a refresh? 🫙🌱

Lots of you are now the proud owners of your very own miniature ecosystem! But, as with any garden, terrariums can become a little overgrown and start looking a bit tired over time.

The good news? We can bring them back to life!

Simply bring your terrarium into the shop and we’ll do the rest. We’ll carefully refresh and replant it, and if you have any favourite plants or colour preferences, just let us know and we’ll do our best to incorporate them.

We can also create a brand-new terrarium or cacti & succulent bowl from scratch. Simply drop off your jar, bowl or pot, and we’ll transform it into something beautiful with a fresh new look.

Terrarium refresh prices 🫙
• Up to 12cm base diameter – £12
• 13–20cm base diameter – £20
• 21–30cm base diameter – £30

Prices may vary for bespoke requests, and larger vessels will be quoted individually.

🥂 Five years of Stamford Botanics! 🥂

Five years ago I opened the doors to Stamford Botanics with a dream of creating a tropical oasis filled with beautiful plants, inspiration and a love of all things green. I honestly couldn’t have imagined the love and support this little shop has received since then, and that I’’m still here several years later! 🥹

To every single person who has visited the shop, bought a plant (or in some cases, hundreds 😅) attended a workshop, trusted us to decorate your space, recommended us to a friend, liked or shared our posts, or simply stopped by for a chat… thank you ☺️💛

Your support is the reason I’m still here five years later, and I’m so incredibly grateful that you’ve chosen to shop small with my little independent business.

Thanks also to my lovely team, past and present - I appreciate you, and my time off, A LOT! 🫶

The shop has brought me so much happiness - my very own little plant paradise in a town I love so much. It’s not always easy, and there’s been many days when I’ve wanted to pack it in, but I’m determined to keep it growing 🙄🤣 so I’m hoping you’ll have me here for at least a little while longer! 🤞🪴😅

To celebrate this milestone, we’ve got a few surprises planned over the next couple of weeks! We’ll also be teaming up with our lovely neighbours at The Blonde Beet The Blonde Beet for a special joint giveaway as they celebrate turning 5 too! 🙌

Join us for a relaxed and creative workshop where you’ll learn techniques to beautifully “age” a plain terracotta pot, giving it a rustic, timeworn look.

Once your pot is transformed, you’ll plant it up with a succulent and finish your design by top dressing the soil with your choice of sand, stones, shells or moss.

Houseplant watering tips for when it’s hot 🥵👇

1. Water early in the morning so plants stay hydrated before the hottest part of the day - but if a plant needs water pronto then it’s fine to water any time of day!
2. Always check the soil first - heatwaves don’t mean every plant needs watering excessively
3. Give plants a deep soak instead of little splashes to help roots grow stronger
4. Move sensitive plants away from hot windows or direct afternoon sun
5. Wilting doesn’t always mean thirsty - check the soil before reaching for the watering can
6. Grouping plants together can help them hold moisture and cope better with dry heat

Today is a sad day, as it’s my lovely neighbour Becky’s final day at BBoutique. 💔

Becky has been such a wonderful part of our little community and her gorgeous shop has brought so much joy, style and sparkle to so many customers.

If you’re passing by today, please pop in and show Becky some love as she closes this chapter. ❤️

And don’t worry , this isn’t quite goodbye as you can still shop online with BBoutique, so you can continue to support this fabulous woman and her amazing business.

Thank you for being the BEST neighbour, Becky. I’ll miss our laughs - your absolutely brilliantly contagious laugh 🤣 and our shared love of Eccles cakes and flapjacks. The street won’t be quite the same without you. 💕
