We’re getting 100 x more pleasure from these foraged blossom twigs than any shop bought blooms, what do you reckon?

We literally cut 5 heavily budded twigs, trimmed to length and removed any lower growth before bunging them in a simple tall vase. Once the blossom has fallen we’re expecting leaf interest to follow which we may substantiate with something freshly foraged.

What’s your favourite blossom?

This week in the garden we had to dig up a sizeable mature patch of Phormium. Unsure where to replant it we decided to cut the leaves and offer them up for grabs to local flower arrangers and one lady took away a large bundle. More will be made available as the growing season progresses so don’t worry if you feel you’ve missed out this time. Just follow the page as we offer up what we prune or find.
