I hope whoever invented internal cable routing is burning in hell alongside the inventor of the automated phone system. Brand new Cervelo, not a cheap bike, and no routing for the cable inside the frame. There are a few engineering arguments for internal routing (namely better cable life due to no rust) but it’s mostly aesthetics rather than engineering. It would cost pennies to have a fixed plastic cable run joining the two grommets where the outer enters and exits the down tube and easily done during carbon fibre lay up. Never mind, we adapt and overcome!

Finally finished a custom Bamboo build that has been a labour of love and a real learning experience. A custom drivetrain: 30 speed. Gearing from 17 to 128 gear inches for touring: enough to tackle the alps and possibly keep up with a much more expensive road bike. Also comfortable enough for a full day in the saddle. If anyone wants their own custom build then get in touch!
