When it is sooo hot that you realise you have nothing cool to wear, whip up a sun dress in three hours!
I used an old dress, bought years ago, as a pattern, and just made an adaptation for wider straps. It was a really quick make and I love it.
The fabric is Chroma Rose for Dashwood Studios, 100% rayon, so it’s a natural fibre, and with a floaty drape. We have some still in stock in the shop - people don’t realise how lovely it is until they see it made up.
I will be living in this for the next few days, washing it overnight and it will dry in minutes.
Here at The Corner Patch Co-operative we love natural fibres and try to stock as many as possible. Among our dressmaking fabrics you will find cotton, linen, rayon, ramie, tencel, bamboo and wool, and all with the ECO-mark so you can buy with confidence.
Check out our website or pop in to the shop.
The air-con is on in the workroom and there is a cooling breeze in The Arcade with all the doors open.
See you soon. Janet
