Peter's Woodturning

Peter's Woodturning I have been around wood my whole life, my father was a master joiner and an old English craftsman.

I guess that’s why I started wood turning and have such great passion for the craft.

23 years ago I bought a small lathe and my woodturning Journey began. For the first 7 years I learned the basics in my spare time after work, and at weekends. After retiring at 55 my woodturning hobby started to get out of hand and suddenly my house started to look like a workshop, covered from top to bottom in p

ieces I had made. As my love for woodturning kept growing, so did my collection of work, I finally started to master my craft. It was at this point I thought it would be great to share my work with others and decided to take the pieces I had made to local craft fairs. In the last 4 years I have demonstrated and taught at the very same club that I was once a novice at. I now turn with a wide variety of materials such as deer antler, brass, copper, alloy, acrylic, and hard wood.
