The Long Table ❤️

Our long table has been particularly busy today… and we think it might just be the happiest table in the building! 😂

At one end, Veronika, one of our fabulous product testers, was giving Colin a one-to-one painting lesson. Colin is 84 and has decided it’s time to get painting again — and we think that’s absolutely wonderful. 🎨

In the middle, Nikita was quietly getting creative, making display signs for our museum pieces. She may have been quiet… but her creativity certainly wasn’t! ✏️

And down at the farm end, our lovely felting group were happily stabbing away at their creations. We’re never quite sure what will emerge from a felting session, but there are always plenty of smiles along the way! 🐑😂

And tomorrow, the week starts with another lively bunch of crafters who have a remarkable ability to brighten even the dullest of days with their wit, wisdom, creativity and laughter.

We love our long table. We love the people around it. And we love that it’s become a place where creativity, friendship and a little bit of harmless chaos all come together. ❤️

The Cotton Rich Mystery 🧐🧵

“Cotton Rich” sounds rather grand, doesn't it? Like the fabric has a private bank account and drives a Bentley. 😂

But what does it actually mean?

Quite simply, cotton rich fabric contains a high percentage of cotton, but it isn't 100% cotton. The remaining fibres are usually something like polyester, viscose or another fibre added to give the fabric different properties.

So, if you're looking for 100% cotton, don't be fooled by the words Cotton Rich — check the fibre composition!

At Craft Outlet Store, we're rather particular about these things. If we say 100% cotton, we mean 100% cotton. No cotton “with a little something extra”. 😉

Because when it comes to fabric, we think you deserve to know exactly what you're buying.

Before we sell it we test it! That's what makes us different. Our student product testers create samples for our store. If it doesn't pass their beady eye test we don't sell it - it's as simple as that.

Okay we're an Outlet store but that doesn't mean we sell anything so long as it is cheap enough. It has to represent brilliant value for money and that's what we're passionate about.
