🚨 A little last-minute PSA… tomorrow is your LAST DAY to order! 🚨

I’m taking some much needed holiday time on Saturday for 2 weeks to soak in the last of the school summer holidays☀️

And yes… I probably should have told you this sooner🙈

But quite frankly, the last couple weeks of summer holidays have been kicking my butt 😂 Between keeping a small human entertained, running a small business, packing orders and attempting to keep on top of approximately 847 other things, finding five minutes to actually make this post has somehow been impossible without succumbing to AI generated slop.

During the next 2 weeks my website will remain open, but any orders placed will be sent on my return. I’ll be popping up a notice on the website later today so it doesn’t catch anyone out.

I also owe you a little apology because I’d really hoped to have the Nutcracker kits back in the shop before I closed🎄 I know some of you have been waiting for them, but realistically I just haven’t had the time to get everything ready without completely running myself into the ground.

They WILL be coming back when I return though,
so consider this your little heads-up that festive stitching is coming 👀✨

For everything that is currently in the shop, tomorrow is your last chance to order before I close!

So if you’ve had your eye on a kit, need to stock up on thread gloss, fancy a new needle minder or just want a little stitching treat… now’s the time 🛍️✨

Then I’m switching off for a couple of weeks, making some family memories and hopefully returning a little more refreshed and a little less chaotic 😂🤍

✨ I gave my packaging a little glow up... and it wasn’t just because it looks prettier🤍

Every little change had a purpose. From saving space in my tiny home office to creating something that’s easier to display at craft shows and looks even more giftable... every decision was made with you (and the future of Sew Luxe Co.) in mind.

This wasn’t a rebrand dreamt up by a design agency. It was me, sat at my kitchen table, teaching myself as I went.

Would a professional graphic designer have done a better job? Probably ❤️ But as a one-woman business, there simply wasn’t the budget. So I learned, tweaked, redesigned, printed test copies and kept going until it felt like Sew Luxe Co.

It’s not perfect, but it’s mine. And I’m really proud of how far it’s come.

Thank you for supporting a small business where every product, every design, every label and every little improvement is made with so much love✨

🏖️Beach Please☀️

Some designs stay with you.

This little beach hut first came to life back in 2019, before Sew Luxe Co even existed. Inspired by the colourful beach huts in Southsea, it always felt like a design worth revisiting.

So I gave it a little glow up.

The heart of the design is still the same, but now it’s a little more refined, a little more cohesive, and stitched on beautiful fabric that really lets the colours shine.

I’m so excited to finally share “Beach Please” with you, and I hope it brings a little sunshine to your stitching this summer 🌊✨

When I’m creating, I don’t think about everything that came before or everything that’s still to come.

I don’t think about the school run.
The emails waiting to be answered.
The washing.
The never ending to do list.

I just… create.

Whether I’m designing a new cross stitch kit, packing your orders or setting up at an event like this, creating has a way of quietening the noise.

For those moments, my hands know what to do before my mind catches up.

Maybe that’s why so many of us are drawn to stitching.

It’s never just about making something beautiful.

Sometimes it’s about giving your mind somewhere peaceful to rest 🤍

I’d love to know… does stitching do that for you too? 🪡✨

☀️ Heatwave reminder! ☀️

Please keep your thread gloss out of direct sunlight and away from hot windowsills during the warm weather.

Our thread gloss is made with natural waxes, which can soften or melt in high temperatures.

The Nutcracker scent particularly also contains clove oil, which can potentially damage plastic mats and some surfaces if the gloss melts and comes into contact with them.

To keep your thread gloss (and your crafting space!) in the best condition, store it somewhere cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight🧵✨

And while you’re looking after your stitching supplies, don’t forget to look after yourself too. Keep hydrated, stay cool where you can, and take plenty of breaks from stitching if the heat gets a bit much ❤️

What a lovely weekend at the Thread Festival of Textiles in Farnham Maltings✨

Just a week ago I wasn’t planning to exhibit, but when an opportunity came up to have a space at Threads with only 24 hours notice, every sensible part of me said “That’s not enough time.” Thankfully, I ignored that part of me.

& I’m so glad I did.

I met lots of wonderful new customers, caught up with familiar faces, spent time with some of my absolute fav small business friends (pics next time pls!) & had so many lovely conversations about stitching that i’ve come away with lots of ideas of what’s next for Sew Luxe Co.

A special thank you to the organisers at Farnham Maltings for creating such a welcoming event and to the amazing staff who were helpful, friendly and supportive throughout the weekend - it not only made a difference to this event but my confidence going into future events.

Running a small business can also sometimes feel a bit lonely, so weekends like this are a lovely reminder of the community we’re part of 💛

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my stand, made a purchase, had a chat or simply said hello. It means more than you know!
