Just a little Saturday reminder, because apparently tomorrow is already Sunday and I’m not entirely sure how that happened 😂

Our Festival of Quilts discount finishes TOMORROW NIGHT at midnight. So, if you came to see us at the show and have been thinking about something you spotted on the stand or you couldn’t make it to Birmingham but still fancy a little craft-room upgrade, this is your nudge.

✨ Use FOQ26 for 15% off until midnight tomorrow, Sunday 9th August.

And while I’m here, another HUGE thank you to everyone who came to see us at Festival. Whether you ordered, browsed, asked questions, talked storage, talked craft or simply stopped for a chat, I loved it. That really is one of my favourite things about doing the shows 💚

If you’ve been measuring a suspiciously unit-shaped gap in your craft room, you’ve got until midnight tomorrow.

FOQ26 • 15% off • Ends Sunday at midnight

After sharing my little wander around Liberty last week, I thought you might like to see what actually followed me home…

Because obviously I couldn’t spend all that time in the haberdashery department and leave empty-handed. That would just be ridiculous.

Then I found the patch display and, well, things escalated.

A few new additions for my favourite denim jacket somehow found their way into my basket ⚡️🦄🌈❤️ along with this gorgeous Magic Stitch Kit.

Although, looking at that entire display of patches, I actually think coming home with only five shows remarkable restraint on my part.

The jacket already has a growing collection on it, so now comes the important bit, working out where these are all going. Although I have a feeling the WILD heart might already be a favourite. ❤️

And yes, a couple of Christmas baubles also came home with me. In August. Because why not? 🎄

So I’m still maintaining that my trip to Liberty was research. It was just research that required a shopping bag.

Now, important question, which patch would you have picked first?

05/08/2026

Have you even been to a craft show if you haven’t come home with at least one / tote bag?

I’ve just realised I appear to have accidentally started a collection…

They’re everywhere. Craft room. Office. Van. Probably cupboards I haven’t opened recently. And yet somehow, every show, another one follows me home. 🤷‍♀️

Please tell me it’s not just me?! How many have you got?

Bonus points if yours are now being used to store other craft supplies, because obviously. 😂

Well, this arrived today and I might have had a little moment. 🥹💚

10,000 orders.

TEN. THOUSAND. 🤯

Back in 2020 we redesigned our website and moved everything over to Shopify. I was going to be taking on more of the website myself, so I basically had one requirement… please make it something I can actually use without wanting to throw the computer out of the window. 😂

Six years later, this little parcel has arrived to tell us that we’ve reached 10,000 orders.

But really, this isn’t ours. It’s yours.

Every one of those 10,000 orders represents someone who trusted our little Devon business to help organise their craft room, sewing space, hobby corner or gloriously out-of-control crafty stash. 💚

When we had a little idea 21 years ago, I don’t think we could ever have imagined where it would take us. That we’d still be designing storage for fellow crafters, still turning up at shows around the country, still chatting craft rooms with you all and still getting ridiculously excited when someone tells me they’ve finally got their stash organised. 😂

And the best bit?

We still genuinely love what we do.

So thank you. Whether you were order number 10, order number 10,000, have visited us at a show, watched us on TV, followed us on here or simply told somebody else about Storage 4 Crafts, you’ve helped get us here.

I’ll keep helping you sort out those craft rooms for as long as you need me to. Although judging by some of the fabric and yarn stashes you lot tell me about, I think my job is safe for a while yet. 😂🧵✂️💚

10,000 orders. Bloody hell. Thank you. 🥹

A little trip to Liberty while I was in London last week and obviously I had to find the haberdashery department. 😂🧵

I mean, you can’t own a craft storage company and walk past somewhere filled with beautiful fabrics, yarn, embroidery kits, sewing goodies and all sorts of other things I suddenly decided I absolutely needed. That would just be rude.

I could have happily spent hours wandering around looking at everything, and those shelves of Liberty fabric… 😍 I may have mentally planned several projects I definitely don’t have time for.

But technically this was a work trip.

I was looking at craft supplies.

Research. Obviously. 😂

I may have slightly abandoned the Storage4Crafts stand at Festival of Quilts for an hour. Don’t worry, I left it in Kevin’s very capable hands. 😂

I’d spotted that my lovely friend Rachel from Crafty Monkies was chatting to Russell Barrett, and I really wanted to hear their talk about quilting, his journey into it and sustainability.

I’m so glad I escaped for it.

It was fascinating hearing Russell talk about his work and the way he uses and reuses textiles, and afterwards I had to go and find his gallery and see the pieces properly.

And WOW. ❤️

I loved that they weren’t all perfectly square and uniform. I loved the layers, the textures, the clothes and fabrics that already have a story and then there are the dots. So many dots. 😍

But there was one piece that immediately spoke to me, the one featuring the Robyn T-shirt.

My brain took one look at all those fabric circles and went…

“They look like scrunchies.”

A Robyn T-shirt surrounded by what my brain has decided are scrunchies?

Apparently Russell has inadvertently made my personality in quilt form. 😂😂

This is one of the things I love most about Festival of Quilts. You can walk around a corner, discover something completely different to the way you create yourself and suddenly your head is buzzing with ideas.

Although perhaps Kevin shouldn’t be told that last bit. I already came home with fabric… 🤫

Which one would have stopped you for a closer look?

And, that’s a wrap on Festival of Quilts 2026! ❤️

The stand is down.
The posters and signs are packed.
Everything is boxed up and ready to go.

And now, we wait. 😂

For what, you ask? For Kevin to work his magic and somehow get the van close enough to load everything back into it.

How long will that take? How long’s a piece of string? 🤣

So for now, the boots are off duty, the feet are up and I’m sitting amongst the remains of the stand contemplating the drive back to Devon and possibly everything I’ve managed to acquire over the last few days 😂

Festival of Quilts, you’ve been brilliant. It’s been busy, exhausting, inspiring and SO lovely getting to chat to so many of you. Thank you to everyone who came over to say hello, talked craft rooms and storage with us, or just stopped for a natter. ❤️

Now, if someone could just clear a path for our van, that would be marvellous. 😂

Home time pending… 🚐💨

One of my favourite things about shows isn’t just being surrounded by gorgeous quilts, fabric and all the things I absolutely do not need but somehow still want 😂 It’s getting to catch up with people I haven’t seen for far too long. ❤️

And at Festival of Quilts I finally got to catch up with Stuart! It’s been AGES, so obviously a photo had to happen. 📸🥰

I also finally managed to get my hands on his gorgeous Porcelain & Seaglass fabric collection. 💙🤍

I tried to get it when it launched on Sewing Street earlier this year, but apparently I wasn’t quick enough because you lot beat me to it! 😂

Well, I have it now.

The only tiny problem is that I don’t actually know what I’m making with it yet. Details, details. I’m currently at the very important put it on the table, admire it, move it around a bit and wait for inspiration to strike stage of the creative process.

That counts as crafting, right? 🤔😂

I’m thinking maybe a bag, something quilted, perhaps something for my craft room? Or I could just continue staring lovingly at it because it’s far too pretty to cut. 😂

What would you make with Porcelain & Seaglass? I need ideas before it joins the “too lovely to cut” section of my fabric stash! ✂️🧵💙

Hello August 🤍

Anyone else come away from the Festival of Quilts with approximately 847 new ideas and absolutely no idea which one to start first? 😂🧵

I’ve spent the last few days surrounded by beautiful quilts, gorgeous fabrics and incredibly talented people, and my crafty brain is now VERY full of things I want to make.

Of course, wanting to start a new project and actually finishing one of the projects already waiting for me are two entirely different things… 🙈

But that’s an August problem. 😂

Here’s to a new month, new projects, rediscovering things we’d completely forgotten were in our stash and possibly adding a little more fabric along the way. ✂️🧵🤍

What are you hoping to make this August?

I was only looking - honest. 😇

Then I wandered onto Molly Felicity Designs’ stand at the Festival of Quilts this morning, and these beauties quite literally stopped me in my tracks. There was absolutely no walking past them. 😍

Do I have a project planned? Not even slightly. 😂

Do I regret buying them? Also not even slightly.

The sugar skulls, the tiny flowers, the explosion of colour, I just couldn’t leave them behind. Then I realised they match a couple of pairs of my Doc Martens, so now I’m wondering if the universe has already decided they’re destined to become a bag. 👜🌸

This is probably how every fabric purchase starts - I’ll think of something to make with it later. 🤭

Please tell me I’m not the only one who buys the fabric first and lets the project introduce itself afterwards!

What’s the last fabric that completely stopped you in your tracks?

💖 Thank you Molly Felicity Designs my fabric stash may never forgive you, but I absolutely do!
