Our sponsored anglers had a busy weekend, battling the elements and tough competition while putting Tom Thick's groundbait to the test! 🎣🔥

🎯 Freddie Harper-Wojtyla had a strong start at Hill View, catching well on maggots and micros across the deck before his swim slowed mid-match. A late edge run helped him land 60lb 11oz, securing 2nd place on his canal!

🥇 John Mills (AKA Average Angler) fished the Ace of Acorn qualifier, working maggots to put together an impressive 38lb of Ide, winning the Silvers category! His patient feeding strategy paid off big time.

⛈️ Tom Thick braved stormy conditions at Sedges, targeting silvers with maggots and caster over groundbait. A switch to bomb and corn was needed in the wind, finishing with 17lb 4oz—just short of the silvers frame but proving the versatility of our mix.

Freddie tackled a range of challenging matches recently:

Meadowlands Teams of 3: With difficult draws, Freddie netted 11lb on the pole for mid-section.
Hillview Practice Match: A solid 46lb and section win, preparing for the Spring League.
Viaduct (Ron's League): Gritting through a tough day, Freddie bagged 6lb with some late skimmers.
Stafford: A tough session with just 7 carassios on the bomb, landing 5th place.

🌟 Stuart White's Successful Weekend 🌟
Stuart had a strong weekend across multiple matches:

Viaduct (Fish South Qualifier): Despite a tough peg, Stuart placed 1st on his bank with 18lb.
Ivy House Lakes (Silvers League): A perfect performance, Stuart won the match with 14lb of skimmers, topped by a section win.
Viaduct (Ben Hagg Silvers League): Stuart's choice of Tom Thick Dark Sweet mix helped him win the league with consistent results and a 35lb haul.

Welcome aboard Gareth

Must admit I've always been a bit sceptical about sponsorships within match fishing. There's a lot of anglers out there that seem happy to sell their soul for a free hat,some bait at trade and the perceived kudos of being 'sponsored'. It's not something I've ever sought, as I like to be able to use exactly what I think is the best available. However when someone such as Tom Thick Baits offers you a bait deal it's not really something you can turn down! Tom's groundbaits are widely regarded as the best around,used by many top anglers and I've actually used many of them myself over the years. Really chuffed and looking forward to being part of the team moving forward 🎣😁
