We are delighted to share that the talented artists from our Artists in Research and Textiles group will be exhibiting their work at the new visitor centre in Ham Hill Country Park.
Known as A.R.T, this vibrant collective of artists and makers explores fibre, fabric, and stitch as powerful mediums for artistic expression and discovery. They believe textiles go beyond traditional craft, serving as vessels of meaning, memory, and innovation. By gathering here at the gallery monthly, A.R.T fosters a lively space for creative dialogue, skill-sharing, and mutual inspiration. Rooted in community and inspired by the rich legacy of fibre arts, A.R.T invites you through this exhibition to connect with them and view this ancient landscape through their eyes.
"Stitch, Stone & Soil" presents new work exploring place, material, and process through contemporary textile practice. The exhibition features work inspired by Ham Hill, the largest hillfort in the UK, responding to its landscape, history, geology, nature, and wildlife.
