New and exciting pop-up exhibition happening here 20-27 June! Artists in Research and Textiles present This Is Art!

This exhibition brings together a diverse group united by a shared exploration of fibre, fabric, and stitch as powerful mediums for artistic expression and enquiry.

A.R.T is rooted in the belief that textiles extend far beyond traditional notions of craft. Instead, they act as carriers of meaning, memory, and innovation — materials through which stories are told, identities are shaped, and ideas are challenged. The collective provides a supportive space for creative dialogue, skill-sharing, and collaboration, fostering both individual growth and a strong sense of community.

Grounded in the rich legacy of fibre arts while pushing contemporary boundaries, A.R.T invites audiences to reconsider the role of textiles within today’s artistic landscape. The exhibition highlights a wide range of practices, reflecting the diversity of voices and approaches within the group.

Visitors can expect an engaging and thought-provoking experience, as well as the opportunity to learn more about the artists, their processes, and the collective itself. This Is Art offers a chance to connect with a vibrant community of makers and to explore the evolving language of textile-based art.

The Coat of Hopes arrives in Somerton on 4 July 2026!

This extraordinary patchwork coat, created by communities across Britain, has walked over 2,200 miles carrying people’s hopes for their local places in the face of the climate and ecological emergency.

Now in its fifth year, the Coat bears more than 700 sewn patches and continues its pilgrimage towards Land’s End, inviting everyone it meets to wear the Coat, share its message of hope, and reflect on our connection with each other and the natural world.

The Coat of Hopes is a volunteer-led movement powered by kindness, creativity and community. Come and see the Coat, hear its story, and find out how you can get involved.

Why did we choose Styles? Their ice cream is delicious, made in Somerset, and
For generations, the Baker family have farmed the land at Styles Farm, on the edge of the beautiful heather moorland, among lush green valleys.

In 1988, as committed food lovers, they decided to diversify into one of their favourite foods, luxury ice cream. Without losing the traditional ways of farming on the Exmoor Hills, David and Sue worked hard to perfect their favourite flavours using only the best natural ingredients and creating the most flavoursome ice creams that we have come to know and love as Styles Luxury Farmhouse Ice Cream.

Currently, we are stocking 8 flavours and of course doggie ice cream 🐶
