We are among the oldest firms of piano specialists in the UK, based in the market town of Sleaford, south Lincolnshire and established in 1867. Did you know we also carry out pre-purchase valuations and assessments? As well as tuning, restoring, selling and hiring pianos, we often get asked to collect privately purchased instruments and deliver them to their new homes. Thankfully 99% of these pianos are in a useable condition but often the person selling simply doesn't understand the complexities of the instrument and wrongly assumes that the piano can be salvaged when it can't. Here's where we come in. With our personal combined 60 years of expertise and nearly 160 years of company trading, we're able to assess any piano for a small fee, giving you the peace of mind that your eBay/Facebook purchase will arrive in a tuneable state and with every note working as it should. Thankfully, we're yet to see anything quite as bad as the two pianos pictured here but just in case, give us a call, we're happy to help!

We’re lucky to have some incredibly loyal customers, and this week we visited one who has been with us since 1969. Three generations of W&S tuners have looked after this fabulous cabinet piano for the last 57 years! It’s a John Broadwood on the inside with a bespoke case by CR Ashbee who founded the Guild of Handicrafts in the 1880’s. This particular piano dates from 1902.
