Welcome to Sensory Smart.

Here at Sensory Smart we have created sensory boxes to help and support children to learn and grow through the power of play.

Research has shown through sensory play it will help to build on nerve connections in the brain’s pathways which lead to the childs ability to complete more complex tasks.

Our boxes can help and support language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, concentration, problem solving and social interaction.

The idea came to me years ago to create a sensory box for my own child who was diagnosed at an early age of 2 1/2 years with Autism, Global Development Delay, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and is non verbal.
To get my sons attention can be extremely difficult but with the sensory boxes I created for him I am now able to get his attention and concentration and he will now interact with me through play.
He is now even able to say a few words and short sentences.
This did not happen overnight but I believe these boxes have had a positive impact on his language development.
It has also helped with his cognitive and fine motor skills, he is now able to spin a spinning top, push buttons and blow bubbles himself.
He can also now identify himself in the mirror.
