Sarah and the Rabbit are absolutely thrilled to be able to announce a show by Lee Bains at Nelly's Retro & Vintage in Stratford-upon-Avon on September 5th 2026.

Together with his band the Glory Fires, Lee Bains has released 4 albums of incendiary Southern Gospel Punk since 2012. Developed in the Punk Rock clubs of his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama Lee brings a ferocious Punk attitude allied to a Southern Rock & Roll groove...think The Clash's political fury mixed in with some "Sweet Home Alabama" and you're on your way to feeling the "red, red dirt of home" as Lee calls it.

This acoustic show at Nelly's will be a glorious celebration of great songwriting and righteous ire as Trumpism grips Lee's home country and looms large in the world. A cult songwriter forged in independent scenes, his work has carried him all over the U.S. and Europe, has received acclaim from the likes of The New York Times, NPR and the Guardian, has allowed him to open for artists including the Alabama Shakes, Drive-By Truckers and John Moreland, and has led him to be a supporting musician for artists like Lonnie Holley, Moor Mother and Algiers.
