📰 Sound moderator red tape almost gone

The Crime and Policing Bill, which will declassify sound moderators and flash hiders as Section 1 fi****ms, received Royal Assent on 29 April, completing its passage through Parliament.

A commencement date must now be set by the Home Secretary before the changes take effect.

Just a quick update for all patrons following West Mercia’s partial revocation of Section 1 shotgun for pest control.

We’ve had a high volume of enquiries in store, and I can confirm the following:

* We are NOT taking in any Section 1 shotguns to undertake restriction / certification work via the Proof House. ❌

* - We can store your item at our standard rates while you communicate with your registered shooting organisation (we use the FieldSports Channel as our example, as they have produced this video piece). If you are not already a member of an organisation, we highly recommend that you join one. ✅

* We can arrange shipment of your Section 1 shotgun to Auction. ✅

* We can also arrange destruction of your item for a fee. ✅
