Hi everyone, a few weeks ago, a lady rang to ask if we stocked a wing needle. I had never heard of one. After a little research, I have tried one. Hemstitch or wing needles make a hole in the fabric and are especially nice on the decorative stitches. I tried on white linen with a view to using it on the hem of a blouse I am making. We now stock them. Has anyone used one, and what are your favourite stitches to use.

Do you know this one....if the bobbin is wound criss cross, it goes horizontal. If it's wound in the round, it goes vert...

Gorgeous cotton seersucker, 150cm wide pink lemon white pale blue check and sage green £12 mtr. Blouses dresses shirts pj's perfect for all sorts of things in this heat. 6 great shades of waxed cotton 140cm, £14 mtr, and it's waterproof! Coats, outdoor cushions, tablecloths tote bags, endless possibilities. Unfortunately the photos don't do the colours justice.

Thank you, everyone, for your condolences on the loss of my mother. Annie was a hard task master and taught me from an early age the joys of sewing. Annie was my inspiration for all things crafting and the encouragement to start my little shop, 'ANNIES '

We've been busy today unpacking a fabulous delivery. 1 and 2 cotton jersey 150cm wide £12 mtr. 3 craft cotton 115cm wide, 4,5, and 6 seersucker 140cm wide. 7 to 10 150cm wide cotton £11 mtr. 11 to 14 batik 115cm wide £9 mtr. 15 and 16 viscose linen 150 wide £12mtr.

Good evening everyone. 10 years ago, I started a 5 year project, Annie's. It has been hard work, but worth it. Worth it in the friendships I have made along the way, the knowledge shared with you all, and the sheer joy I feel every day I walk into Annie's.
It hasn't been an easy decision to retire, but the time is right for me now.
I have instructed Swan Business Brokers to put Annie's on the market, and I do hope there is another 'Annie' out there to carry on this wonderful shop.
