So… this just happened 😝

Highly Commended in Creative Business category 2026 🖤

Not bad for a one-woman bench, a torch, and a stubborn refusal to make anything beige!

Eighteen years of silver under my hands and it still feels like a thrill to be seen for it.

Thank you to the sponsors, the judges and to everyone who’s ever worn one of my pieces, sat at my bench or backed the daft brave idea of doing this my own way.

And a very special thank you to my ride-or-die , without whom literally none of this would be possible ❤️

The work continues. Louder.

Three. There are three of them now.

It started with one bloom. You voted, so I added a second. And now there’s a third, off doing its own thing on a separate ring.

I did say I’d stop at two. The bench disagreed.

The two-bloom is Orthrus. The two-headed hound. Felt right at the time. Now there’s a third running alongside and I’m no longer sure who’s leading. Less ring. More pack.

All sterling silver. All oxidised dark. Every petal domed and built by hand by me. No two the same.

This is what happens when you let a poll make your decisions.

So. Which one’s yours?

BUILT TO BE FIERCE.

This is Orthrus, named after the two-headed Greek mythological guard dog.

Two sterling silver flowers, hand-formed and oxidised until they turned the colour of a storm. Granulated centres, soldered bead by bead. Petals curved as if they’re hiding teeth 🖤

She’s the piece I secretly hoped would emerge when I burned the old ‘nice’ Soldersmith brand down and rebuilt it on one idea: be brave, every single day. She’s the proof and I’m besotted.

No two will ever be the same.

Put her on when you’re done being easy to ignore.

This wasn’t a quick make. And it shows.

A big statement pendant, made start to finish by one of my students in solid sterling silver. Every mark on it is hers: the hammered surface, the hand-coiled spirals, the raised silver granules, and that wire line running straight down the centre like a river cutting through rock.

She took her time. Came back week after week, kept building, kept pushing it further. This is what 10 weeks look like when you really commit to it.

And this is exactly what the studio is for. Not small. Not careful. Not the kind of thing that vanishes the second you put it on. Real silver, real weight, a staggeringly bold and beautiful piece with something to say.

The next 10-week term starts at the end of September. Come and make something that’s properly yours.

New drop. Brace yourself.

A flower with attitude. Oxidised petals around a cluster of hand-built silver granules, all sitting on a wide band pressed with leaf texture.

Bloom with teeth.

Sterling silver, made entirely by hand, one of one.

For the days you want to be seen.

Subtlety not included.

Five friends. First time at the bench. One half-day. Look what walked out of the studio 👀

Three bangles. Two pairs of earrings. Every piece hammered, shaped and finished by hands that had never touched a workbench before yesterday morning.

This is what “beginner” actually looks like. Not timid. Not fragile. Sterling silver, made with grit, worn with intent.

You don’t need a background in metalwork. You don’t need permission. You need half a day and the nerve to show up.

Half-day workshops are open now. Grab a friend. Make something by you, for you.

Meet Tethys.

While Zeus, Poseidon, Athena and Apollo took all the headlines back in the day, Tethys got quietly written out.

But she came before them and every river that runs to the sea, every tide that pulls at the shoreline and every freshwater spring belonged to her. She mothered them all.

This huge Labradorite holds her colours: deep blue, storm grey, the green of water you can’t see the bottom of. A whole ocean condensed into a stone, set in silver that looks like it’s been on the seabed for centuries.

One of one. Hallmarked.

She’s built to be worn and whispered about.
