craftworkshop CWS is a cooperative of local artists/makers in Sedbegh. Our shop sells hand made, beautiful gifts. The shop is a place for us to "meet, make, share and sell".

The craftworkshop at 61 Main Street, Sedbergh (LA10 5AB for satnav users) is a co-operative of around twenty crafters. We range from enthusiastic amateurs, to keen hobbyists to talented artists and craftspeople. We refurbished what used to be a bookshop to make a lovely spacious place to browse. Our crafts include baskets, paintings, prints, felted pictures, oils and acrylics, knitting, jewellery

, fused glass, rag rugs, sheep, pyrography, needlefelting, ceramics, wood turning, more sheep, even more sheep, and More! Come and take a look.

Here are our opening hours for the bank holiday weekend:
Friday 10am - 4pm
Saturday 10am - 1pm
Sunday 10am - 4pm
Monday 10am - 4pm
There will be plenty to see and do in and around Sedbergh, with the Artisan Market on Saturday and special Anniversary events at Farfield Mill. If you are coming in on Saturday, please note we will be closed from 1pm, as many of our members are busy participating in creative events around Sedbergh and further afield. We are open as normal for the rest of the weekend.

Our new artist’s window for April features the work of Trea Udo and Frances Lumber. Trea’s beautiful weaving brings out the rich colours of her materials - you can see the wide range of natural stems and fibres she uses on display. Trea and Frances are collaborating on a selection of pieces, with ceramic and woven elements. There are more of these to follow, so keep an eye out for them!
We are open 10am - 4pm, 7 days a week.

We have a lovely new window display to welcome you to our Late Night Shopping Event tonight. Our members and suppliers have been busy restocking so that the shop is full of original gift ideas (or treats for yourself!).
There will be a range of craft stalls in St Andrews from 5pm. Food stalls .bug and will be on Main Street and the local shops will be open. and are providing the entertainment.
Sedbergh will be looking beautiful with its Christmas trees, lights and displays, so come along and join us! The last picture shows more details about the event.
