🇬🇧 A British Trio Shaped in Ceramic 🇬🇧

This week, we’re putting three favourites from the Karen Fawcett collection in the spotlight:

🦕 Hypsilophodon - a small, agile plant-eater known from fossils found on the Isle of Wight.

🐊 Baryonyx - the distinctive fish-eating predator whose type specimen was discovered in Surrey.

🐍 Snakestone ammonite - inspired by the Whitby legend of St Hilda and the snakes said to have been turned to stone.

Created in ceramic by Karen Fawcett, these characterful sculptures celebrate three very different parts of Britain’s prehistoric heritage.

You asked, I listened…

In the recent customer survey, one of the questions was:

“What would you like to see more of on the website?”

A very clear answer came back: more trilobites.

So, I went hunting - and the new trilobites are now live on the website.

There’s a fresh selection available, including classic collector pieces and some properly characterful specimens. Trilobites are some of the most iconic fossils you can own: ancient sea creatures that lived hundreds of millions of years before the dinosaurs.
