Be it wood, wax, glass, paper or slate, I like to think I can breathe magic into something totally unique for you. I love upcycling and repurposing items, which saves landfill and gives a story behind every piece I produce. Items are rarely replicated. Each item is produced in my She-Shed, garden, or kitchen (much to my husband's disgust as he cries "FOOD PREPARATION AREA!") and I've spent many a
long night working on something to make it just "right" for the buyer. I have sleepless nights thinking over orders...but when someone cries with emotion on receiving their order...well, that makes my heart SING and makes those sleepless nights SO worthwhile. I am constantly “hiding” items of furniture in my shed until I can work on them - it can take months (literally) before I know where I am going with a piece...and even then, I have some things that I change...and change again to get them “right”. Do I love what I do though? You bet ya bo**ie I am! Most items are totally unique - I mean, how many homes do you know that have a "Spoon Family" on their kitchen window sill?! I know of just FOUR!! Sure, it's quirky - but who wants the same as everyone else? If you want that, there's a big, Swedish company who thrive on that ;) So what do I do? I paint furniture mainly, but delve into the smaller crafting items - be it bespoke candles, clocks, coasters, house numbers, bottle lamps, paper cutting and I've a “family member” who nails pencil drawings from a photo! Not all of these are feasible to post (without a huge courier charge) but hey, if you're in the Stirling area of Scotland and want something specific, drop me a message.
