After an incredible whirlwind journey, we’re closing the doors to That Pantry on Sunday 30th July 2023.
As many of you know, we welcomed my daughter into the world a year ago and I’m not ashamed to say that my priorities have massively changed since then; which is one of the leading factors in reaching this decision; a desire to be more ‘present’ both physically and mentally.
Obviously, it goes without saying that the numerous issues faced by small independent businesses over the last 3 years have also added to the strain especially in a mental capacity. The constant need to adapt and innovate (something we’re known for) is truly exhausting. I’m personally ready for my next wholesome era and being able to ‘switch off’.
That Pantry will run as normal other than now only being open Thursday to Sunday until 30/07/23. We obviously want to go out on a high, so make sure you call in; everything must go!
That Cake will continue, with all bookings in place being unaffected (Weddings etc). However, I haven’t yet decided on the logistics of how to run our general bakes moving forward e.g local CAKEAWAY drops (lockdown vibes) etc … suggestions are welcome! After 4 years of our bakes being available to purchase daily from a physical store, this will be a significant change … so grab them while you can.
In terms of exit strategies we explored a range of options but have decided on selling the equipment/furniture/commercial kitchen setup etc as a whole. So essentially someone wanting their own coffee shop/retail space can walk in and get going on day one (once a new lease is in place). I’d like to say a huge thank you to the team (past & present) who have helped build That Pantry over the last 3 years, I couldn’t have done it without them.
Finally. I personally can’t thank you all enough for your continued support & ability to make both myself and the team smile when you enter our store.
I hope you continue to visit us while you can; as we’d truly love to go out with a bang. We’d appreciate your support and custom now more than ever.
