The idea of weaving has been around for centuries but my concept for weaving lampshades started as an experiment. I researched on the internet extensively to see if this had been done before and touch wood it is exclusive and unique to me. It has grown from first sewing them by hand using an ebay joblot of scrap ribbon to a thoroughly tested creative method. It has taken me 6 months to perfect how
these lampshades look and I am always playing around with ideas, colours, styles so please drop me a message if there's something you would like me to try for you. I now have a range of 150 colours of ribbon in two sizes (6mm and 18mm). The shades are cylindrincal for ease of weaving in sizes: 20, 30, 40, 45, 60 and 70cm. The latter is massive!!! I hope you agree that the prices are very reasonable for the amount of work involved. Please bare in mind that they take on average 8 hours to make but this is getting shorter the more I do.
