I made some more copper swallows today. I have one double swallow mobile - hang inside or outside courtesy of the nylon thread (£18 plus postage) NOW SOLD
and 4 x swallows carrying messages of love with almost invisible nylon hanging loops (£12 plus postage). Message me to purchase 🧡
Off now to make tea once I’ve washed my hands!

Just call me Ms Smug from Smugsville! The Italian courtyard (dream big!) that we built and then planted with Mediterranean plants at the end of May is having a blast still. It is a great shame then that I did not plant the rest of the brown and crispy garden in a similar style, especially since Wessex water have implemented a hosepipe ban lol!
Absolutely love the white echinaceas flowering currently and the bees and hummingbird hawk moths adore the verbena. Sad to say The Herons in Love are sold and on their way home tomorrow. I may have to make myself a pair! Lovely Mr Peacock is mine but only because I messed up the cutting and had to make another for my lovely customer - silver linings and all that 🖤

Also, ‘dogs who golf’ and why not?! We wanted to say hello but didn’t want to put them off their game.
All of this and Chase Woods to be found at glorious Rushmore Park. And if you go at the right time the little hut on the golf course serves teas, ice creams and sausage rolls and always has water for dogs. I always seem to catch it open 🤔

Lovely to end a very warm week on a high with dearest Otis. He’s off to the Powder Coaters on Monday for his black finish. He’s been a joy to design and make and I have no doubt he was a joy in life too.
Meanwhile I’m off for a shower followed by something cool to drink. Have a wonderful, hopefully cooler weekend 🖤

Well done to Sarah Egginton who got all but the cat correct and was the first one to do so on here or Instagram.

So the correct answers were - Scottish Terrier, Pekingnese, Griffon, Chihuahua, Irish terrier, Gordon Setter, Bouvier, Oriental, Sussex Spaniel, Curly Coat and Lurcher. Thanks for having a go and brightening my day x

How well do you know your dog breeds? Here are a few of my lesser known creations (not including the first one, that’s my Mum’s dog Bonnie with her doppelgänger. We love her). I have a small prize that I will post anywhere in the world for the first person who can name, or nearly name, all the breeds.

I have made so many spaniel tea light holders now, show cockers, working cockers. Springers, Sussex, Clumbers, Field and more.and I have loved them all. But between you and me, the Cavalier King Charles is always my favourite 🖤

It’s a down day, so obviously I made something. Anything but do nothing! My first go at a little lampshade, just 15 x 15cm with velvet trim using my design Fetch & Folly.
How does anyone do steady hand, professional looking videos?!

Swallows, messengers of hope, loyalty, renewal and a safe return home.
It’s almost if that verdigris copper swallow in the first photo was made for that beautiful mantle piece. Thank you to the owner for the gorgeous photo. The two copper swallows in the second photo are mine and I’m not letting them go. They come as a pair on an almost invisible thread but their attachment is strong.
Hoping to make a couple more out of what is left of the recycled copper I have in at the moment. I’ll let you know in my Stories if I do, just in case you’re interested x
