A little too eager to get started, so the before photo is post-removal of the existing gas fireplace, but the outcome was too good to miss!

From a flat wall where the fireplace was a little lost to an impressive false chimney breast, with slate hearth and an integrated television above. The stove is one of our favourites - the HETA Ambition 5, but this time with an optional black handle.

Whilst the original setup had some fine brickwork, it was long overdue an update. The previous stove was tightly fitted into a narrow inglenook which didn't allow air to circulate around the stove to efficiently heat up the room and the view of the flames was limited due to the traditional lattice window design.

Following a reconfiguration of the chimney breast, a HETA Ambition 5 stove was fitted in place on a riven slate hearth, with a dark wood beam to match the tones in the ceiling beam as a finishing touch. It will look even more impressive once it's fired up!

The hard work was carried out by Cmw Log Burners, masters in building and stove fitting.
