One of last week’s jobs included a full uplift throughout the home, and the kitchen was finished in sheet vinyl laid all in one, meaning no joins anywhere. Engineered Wood Job — From Problems to a Proper FinishNot the start we wanted on this one.

Once we uplifted the old carpet, the subfloor was wet, the old latex was breaking up, and the whole area needed far more work than expected.So we stripped it right back — removed all the failed screed, damp‑treated the floor, and rebuilt the base properly.
Only once the subfloor was sound and level could we fit the engineered wood the way it should be done.A rough start, but a solid finish. Quality prep always pays off.📞 07747 560413
