For the past while I’ve been regrouping and trying to decide where I go from the beeswax wraps. Unfortunately they have become unsustainable due to energy costs and I can’t justify a price tag of £20 a pack.

So we move onwards. I’ve discovered that I adore crocheting, who knew! The seesaw motion is so bloody relaxing and I’m sure I read somewhere that it’s good for potentially keeping things like dementia at bay (I may also have totally made that up 😬).

These rather cute cotton-cats are the purrfect solution to all your reusable make up remover needs. Beautifully soft and hand crocheted from cotton, you can chuck them in the washing machine and hang to dry. For the next week they are £10 for 7 cotton-cats, before they go on my Etsy store.

Larger cotton-cats would make a gorgeous wash cloth for a new baby - dm for details.

Thank you to everyone who bought my beeswax wraps, I absolutely loved making them! 🤗

Very excited to be swapping phonics for the studio next week! Mostly because I’m a rubbish teacher, but also because I miss working as much as the kids miss being at school. How are you all feeling about Monday’s return to school?

Handmade Letters are £12.00 each and designs vary. PM for details.

Thoughts from the hive please!

I’ve been thinking about how to fabric recently and today I’ve chopped up some old curtains and a skirt to make these rather lovely reusable fabric gift bags. Question is, would you buy them if I sold them?

Reduce, reuse & recycle is my motto and permeates every part of my life. Every thank you card I send out with orders is from something. These are cut from the leftover card from our more than 7 years ago (yes, I am a hoarder of paper).

What do you hoard?

Today I finished a large order which had been disrupted by 2 bouts of chickenpox and a pandemic 😷 . But we made it and I have to say that I love this so much!

Unfortunately these packs won’t be available for sale as they were part of a bespoke order. If you’re wanting to design your own packs then do get in touch as I’d love to work with you 💖

Conscious shopping during lockdown 2.0

With so many shops closed this November it may be tempting to turn to some big retailers for all your gift needs this year. BUT DON’T.

There are so many super talented people around and they need you to choose local and independent. They rely on you and every single purchase makes them do a happy dance.

So, in the spirit of supporting some of my local loves, here’s where you can buy your beeswax food wraps - they make gorgeous gifts and will be used again and again:

Visit Christina on Mount Ephraim for awesome coffee and the most eclectic range of gifts.

Jean can sort out ALL your eco gifts and as she’s online, you don’t even need to leave your kitchen.

Of course, you can message me to discuss your fabrics if you need something a bit more specific! And if you like the reindeer heart, it’s the first one and I’ll be selling them for £7.

And these are just some of the places I’ll be shopping at this year, they’re all equally fabulous!!
