2026 has been a good year so far .. I turned 50 (I'm now officially out of copyright law :)) & the shop celebrated it's 21st Birthday .. the milestone B'Days always make reflect & look back ..
I found a bunch of tickets from when I was 15-16 around 1991-92 whilst going through some records at home .. it was a good year for gigs, when you could see bands like Nirvana for less than the price of a beer today (only a stub that one unfortunately .. you might have to zoom in & squint ;) The memories of these gigs are some of the fondest I have, before smartphones & social media where everyone there felt present in that moment.
The shop has been on a 7 year cycle up until now, in my first 2 locations I had no choice but to find new premises at the 7 year mark .. this is the 1st time it looks like I'll go beyond that .. yay !
As we hit August we move headlong into holiday & festival season .. it's one of my favourite times of year, I get to tick off some of the jobs from the 'to do 'list & spend extra time looking after my core customers that support me throughout the year as well as on a personal level, having the time to reconnect with old friends & if I'm lucky .. getting out on time (ish) .. awesome.
We're here until 4pm today if you need us ... as always everything is available online 24/7 too.
