Fancy a few hours of peaceful creativity and coastal daydreaming?

Join us for our brand new Ceramic Lighthouse Workshop and spend an afternoon slowing down, getting creative, and bringing a little seaside charm into your home.

Using stoneware clay, you’ll hand-build your very own lighthouse from start to finish, adding beautiful details like shells, starfish, tiny doors and textured stonework. Best of all, your finished lighthouse is designed to glow with a tealight or battery lights, creating the most magical coastal feel.

There’s something wonderfully calming about this project. As you shape, sculpt and decorate your lighthouse, you’ll be transported to windswept beaches, salty sea air and carefree days by the coast.

Whether you’re dreaming of a seaside cottage, love coastal interiors, or simply need some well-deserved creative time for yourself, this workshop is the perfect escape.

🌊 Learn slab building, pinch potting and decorative pottery techniques
🌊 Create a beautiful lighthouse approximately 25–30cm tall
🌊 Add hand-crafted coastal details and personalised touches

Well, the results are in... and whilst we didn’t take home the win, I couldn’t be prouder. 🤍

To have been named in the Final 10 for Best Arts, Culture & Theatre is an achievement I’ll be celebrating for a long time.

We found ourselves alongside incredible organisations including Nottingham Playhouse and the eventual winners, Buxton Opera House, a venue recognised and loved across the UK. To be mentioned in the same category as organisations of that scale feels pretty surreal for our little creative studio in Ripley.

What makes it even more special is that this recognition came from you. The people who attend workshops, support small businesses, share our posts, recommend us to friends, and continue to be part of this wonderful community.

This year’s Muddy Stilettos Awards saw an incredible level of interest, with hundreds of thousands of nominations and votes cast across the country. To be recognised by readers as one of the Top 10 in the county is something I’m immensely grateful for.

Thank you to everyone who nominated us, voted for us, and cheered us on along the way. This studio has always been about creating a space where people can take time for themselves, learn something new, meet like-minded people and enjoy being creative. Knowing that so many of you value that means more than any trophy ever could. 🤍

For those who can’t resist the sparkle of fused glass… this workshop was made for you.

Join us to create your own fused glass fantasy bird – a colourful, quirky piece that’s completely unique to you. Think bold colours, beautiful textures, decorative details and perhaps even a little extra dichroic sparkle if you’re feeling fancy. 🌈

You’ll learn simple glass-cutting techniques, layer up your chosen colours and bring your design to life before we kiln-fire it ready for collection.

Whether you’re inspired by a robin, a kingfisher, a bluetit or something entirely from your imagination, this workshop is all about creativity, colour and having fun.

And as always… expect tea, cake, creativity and a few hours of lovely escapism.
