Direct cremations are a big topic at the moment
From a florist point of view it’s sad to see so many people thinking they can’t have flowers if they choose a direct cremation because you can and lots do but also you don’t have to have any at all that’s ok.
I’ve got very close friends who have chosen this option for their loved ones and it was the right choice for them, then I have other friends and family who have spend tens of thousands on funerals and that was right for them too
It has to be what’s right for you and your family but talking about it while you still have those loved ones with you helps make it easier for everyone to know what’s best when the time comes.
Funeral flowers for us is never about £££ I learnt that years ago, it’s a honour to do someone’s last gift to a loved one xx
