The daughters of Linda and Cecil Womack (that’s one of them as a baby on the cover of their LP Conscience) Grandaughters of Sam Cooke and nieces of Bobby Womack whose Across 110th Street gets an airing pretty much everytime there’s a Redruth Record Club*. Impeccable credentials On with their house band. Lovely.

7) Ethiopian Music 1971 recorded by Ragner Johnson and Ralph Harrison.
😎 Gaudi Jazz gone Dub. It does what it says on the “tin” features Jah Wobble, Sly and Robbie, David Hinds and a host of others. A bloke came in yesterday who did the design on lots of Gaudi record sleeves. At least he said he did. He was just getting a train to London and then flying back to New Zealand, so i cant verify it. Although tbh if you are going to make something up before flying to NZ, id suggest making it a little more fanciful.
9) Jungle - Sunshine. Fifth Lp from Jungle on caramel colour vinyl.
What a line up. Currently playing a just in first press of Gene Clark’s ace No Other. Sleeve a bit battered, record sounds great. Maybe I’ll keep it.Ive only got one of those old fashioned CDs of it.
See you later. *News of the next RRC coming this weekend.
