Poorly Post 😔 OSM has been really suffering with hand foot and mouth disease this week. Lots of ulcers in his mouth mean he can’t enjoy his food and he is just so miserable and inconsolable.

It’s no fun being ill ,but being a parent to a poorly toddler is equally not as fun. Brody just wails at me and it’s so hard to hear and not be able to help him. They don’t give anything for HFM it’s just Calpol etc, any tips on how to get him through the mouth ulcers? He is just so uncomfortable.

He will be better soon, HFM is so common in toddlers but it’s so hard when you’re in the moment to see through that….also when the little one is teething 😴 ☕️

Happy Easter 🐣

Hope everyone is having a choctastic time. Easter weekend with babies is different, firstly you have to share your Easter eggs 🤣 But also just relaxing doesn’t really exist as you’re always thinking about them.

BUT it’s just change, and it will get easier, like everything with these little people. It might not be like it was but you adapt and suddenly you realise that it’s BETTER than it was with them 🙃

Life with Two under Two 🤩

Well technically not anymore as Big Odd Sock Monster turned two yesterday, and T2’s is fully in gear. Little Odd Sock monster, has ALL the teeth coming through, but is still smiling. (see the dribble)

It has been hard work. Sometimes I just want to be alone and drink my coffee, and not have to deal with a little human trying to dip a biscuit in it. OR do something really boring like just have a minute to clean the kitchen without being shouted at for ‘more snacks’

I’ve just learnt that my dishes generally go unwashed and my coffee gets cold, and that’s okay. ☕️ 🥶 🍽

Weaning: a fun, messy, stressful journey (also 3 perfect words to describe motherhood) 😋

Little odd sock monster has taken to it slowly but we’re getting there. With OSM I made everything fresh and puréed but this time it’s so much harder as we just have less time! So during the week the pouches have been a life saver.

Weekends are a little less stressful with no school runs etc, so when we can we love the recipes from so simple and delicious for all of us.

Like all things in parenthood weaning is yet another thing to put too much pressure on yourself. If your baby doesn’t like broccoli or throws the potato on the floor it doesn’t mess they’re going to be a fussy eater. Don’t best yourself up, you do you.

Spot the pair. 🧦 But unfortunately it’s not a fun game. It’s actually quite a mind boggling, frustrating chore, that you just don’t have time for!

But don’t worry, you’re not alone, and you haven’t failed just because you don’t keep your socks matched. Odd socks give us character, trust me.

Excited to be sending quite a few boxes out over the next few days. Showing those amazing mummas how amazing they really are.

This odd sock mumma was very sleepy this morning, had a tricky night with LOSM. I’d forgotten about sleep regression at 4 months 👎🏻

Was feeling pretty grumpy and tired about it all this morning but I got the odd sock monsters ready (that’s worth a coffee in itself) and out we went into the frosty world. What fresh air does for you is priceless especially on a day like today.

So just a reminder if your having bit of an off day try and get outside it’ll help, even if it’s just for 5 mins, + fresh air helps the little ones sleep better.

Oh and you need to double up on the odd socks today 🥶

We spend this time of year going on lots of walks as a family. So Odd Sock Monster has wellies here, there, and everywhere. Today we chucked two red wellies in the car….they weren’t a match!! But OSM wasn’t bothered.

Here he is. My littlest odd sock monster rocking the odd socks. This little guys is the reason for our radio silence over the past few months.

Having a second has been even tough on laundry and keeping socks together!! Any hope of having sock pairs has gone out the window 😂

But we’re back in business and feeling ready to give the gift of odd socks back. So why not get your order in for those mummas to show them some love for the new year.
