The CAP Money Course is a free course that will teach you budgeting skills and a simple system to successfully manage your money. In just a few weeks, you will get to grips with your finances so you can budget, save and prevent debt.
Whether you already feel pretty organised or whether you feel the panic rising when you try to spend money from your account, the CAP Money Course will help you take complete control of your finances. We have lots joining our courses who are helping others too.
There are hundreds of courses run throughout the country each year, along with specific courses for students, young people and kids.

In an age of hurry and distraction, Jesus teaches us a different rhythm, one of quiet strength, steady hope, and patient love.

This Sunday at Brookside Church we’ll gather together to reflect on Patience as part of the Fruit of the Spirit: not simply learning to wait, but learning to trust that God is at work even in the hidden and unfinished places of our lives.

Lent isn’t about becoming someone else, it’s about coming back to who you really are.
It’s a chance to step away from the noise, the pressure, and the constant need to keep up, and return to a God who isn’t asking you to perform, but to be known and loved.
It’s a journey of learning to quiet the lies in your head, choosing mercy over beating yourself up, letting go of control, and discovering what God is actually like through Jesus, not distant, but self-giving, patient, and real.
As we walk through it, something shifts: we start living more open, more honest, more free.
Then Easter hits, not just as a story, but as a reminder that love really does win, that nothing in our life is too far gone, and that even in the messy, unfinished parts, new life is already breaking through.

LENT — LESS NOISE, MORE LIFE

You don’t have to be religious to feel it: life is loud.

Constant updates.
Comparison.
Pressure to keep up.
The quiet feeling that you should be doing more, becoming more, being more.

Lent is an ancient 40-day reset — a season people have used for centuries to slow down and reconnect with what actually matters.

Not punishment. Not guilt. Just space.

Space to notice what’s been shaping you.
Space to question the voices in your head.
Space to breathe again.

What if, for the next few weeks, you didn’t try to add more to your life — but gently let some things go?

Less scrolling. Less performing.
Less pretending you’re fine when you’re tired.

And maybe, in the quiet, you rediscover something deeper:
peace that isn’t based on productivity,
worth that isn’t earned, a sense that you are already enough.

Simple practice:
We could take one minute today with no phone, no music, no distractions.
Just sit. Breathe. Notice what surfaces.

If you pray, you might simply say:
“Quiet what isn’t helping me. Lead me toward peace.”
