5 things I had to stop doing to succeed.
1. Stop feeling guilty for charging what I’m worth.
I used to feel guilty charging what my work was actually worth. I thought I had to say yes, lower my prices or even work for free just to get the opportunity. I’ve learned that my work, creativity and time deserves to be paid for.
2. Stop stalking the competition. Focus on YOU.
I used to spend so much time checking other brands, what they were posting, what they were doing, how fast they were growing. I stopped. Best thing I could have done. The less I look sideways, the more I focus on building my own thing. It’s room for everybody!
3. Stop waiting for the right moment! Just do it!
There’s never going to be a perfect time. I’ve learned that sometimes you just have to start, even when you don’t feel 100% ready. I quick my job 🤰and launched the charm bar a year after. Believe me you figure things out along the way.
4. Stop saying yes when your gut is saying NO.
I’ve learned to trust my gut. A big name, a great opportunity or more money doesn’t automatically mean it’s right for me. If something feels off from the beginning, I listen to that feeling. Protecting my peace has become non-negotiable.
5. Stop trying to do everything yourself.
This one has been HARD. 😂 I used to think nobody would do things exactly the way I would, so I tried to do everything myself. But I realised that if I want the business to grow, I have to let go, trust my team and delegate. I can’t be everywhere and do everything, and I’m finally okay with that. I love you girls! Without you this wouldn’t be possible!
