I’m busy working away today and have just cut out this beautiful uniform bear, ready to be sewn and gifted at the end of the summer term 🧸💙

Memory bears make such special keepsakes to celebrate school memories and milestones.

Happy Saturday 💚

💜 I was honoured to be asked to make these bears in memory of Valerie, a deeply loved and dearly missed wife and mother.

💜 Last week, I received the loveliest message from my customer, along with some photos, sharing just how much the bears mean to her father-in-law. She told me his bear has become his most precious possession and has brought him such comfort during such a difficult time.

💜 On a personal note, messages like this truly mean the world to me. Knowing that something I’ve made can bring comfort, spark treasured memories, and help someone feel close to a loved one again is such a special privilege. It’s the reason I love what I do so much.

💜 These bears were made using two jumpers and a scarf, which I carefully divided between the three bears and resized to fit this new standard bear design I shared last week.

New Bear Keepsake 🧸

This little bear is a smaller version of one of my larger keepsake bears. I was asked to make one for a customer a couple of months ago, and since then it’s been proving really popular.

As some of you may know, I had to increase my prices this year, but I kept my standard bear at the same price to make it as affordable as possible.

This new bear will also be priced at £45.00.

He has a slightly floppier, softer feel compared to my other bear, which is perfect for anyone who prefers a less structured keepsake.

These gorgeous ones were made from a dog bed and fleece in memory of Nacho 🐾💙

A little update about 2026 orders 💛

Over the past few months I’ve been dealing with some health issues, and I now know I’ll need an operation. I’ll also need to attend regular appointments each week for the foreseeable future, so I’ll need to take some time to focus on my recovery.

Because of this, I’ve made the difficult decision to close my order books for 2026. At the moment I have around one month of availability left, which I’ll likely need to use to catch up on any orders that may be affected or delayed.

I want to reassure you that I am still working, and all existing orders will be completed — nothing will be cancelled. If there are any changes to your order timings, I’ll always contact you directly and will do everything I can to meet your dates.

I’m still very much open to enquiries, and my books for 2027 are now open. If things go well and I find I have some extra time, I’ll happily bring forward any January 2027 orders into late 2026 where possible.

This wasn’t an easy decision to make, and I’m so grateful for your continued patience and support — it truly means the world, especially as a small, one-person business.

I’ll continue sharing my makes and ideas in the meantime, and I hope they bring a little inspiration if you’re thinking of placing an order in the future.

Happy Sunday!

This little bear was lovingly made from just one fleece — a lovely example of how even a single item of clothing can be turned into something special. Fleece is such a dream to work with as it holds its shape beautifully and doesn’t fray, but I’m always happy to work with any fabrics you have, whether it’s one piece or a collection of meaningful items.

I’m currently taking orders for October/ November and spaces are going fast so if you want to order for Christmas please let me know 💌

I always try to reply as soon as I can. Unfortunately at the moment life is a bit full on and I’m having to juggle work around it. If I don’t respond promptly please bear with me (no pun intended!) and I will get back to you. At the moment it hasn’t affected my orders but if I need to delay any I’ll contact you privately.

Good morning!

I’ve just been advised that people have been messaging my what’s app using the button on here and I haven’t been receiving them.
So if you have, huge apologies, I’ve found them I’ll be replying today.

Also, life at Rowland Towers has been a bit crazy over the last month or so. Being self employed is the best, until there’s a glitch then it becomes a juggling act! Please bear with me as I try and navigate my work and private life! I’m
completely up to date with my orders and any that may be affected I’ll be contacting privately.

Here’s a picture of beautiful Santorini from last year so this post doesn’t get lost. Not going to lie, would rather be there than decorating the bedroom today!

In this ever-changing world, AI is something we simply can’t avoid 🤍

I just wanted to pop on and be completely open about how (and if) I use it in my posts.

All of the photos I share on here are exactly as I take them. I don’t alter my work in any way — although I do sometimes crop or straighten images… mainly because my photography skills aren’t always the best! 😅

Very occasionally I might use AI to add a background, but if I ever do, I’ll always include a disclaimer so you know.

Sometimes I also use AI to help me write a caption. It’s much better than I am at saying what I mean clearly and concisely! I know I can waffle a little, so think of it as me saving you from extra-long posts 🤣

Most importantly, every single item I share is made entirely by me. From cutting out interfacing and pattern pieces, right through to hand sewing the final little details — it’s all my own work. I only finish a piece when I’m completely happy with it, and I take full accountability for everything I create.

And for full transparency… this picture was definitely designed by AI!! ✨

Look at these truly beautiful bears 💜

I was asked to make them all identical — such a special request. They’ve been lovingly created from a dressing gown and soft fleece, making them extra cuddly and full of comfort.

I won’t lie… whenever I work with a dressing gown, my whole room (and me!) ends up covered in fluff! But it’s always worth it when they turn out like this.

Each one holds a precious memory of a much-loved person, made to be hugged and treasured for years to come.

This design is one of the large bears in my collection and is perfect if you’re looking for something extra special.

Happy February 🤍

The longest month of the year is finally over and we’re edging closer to spring and brighter, longer days 🌷✨

Sorry it’s been a little quiet on here — I’ve been busy working away since the new year and social media had to take a bit of a back seat for a while.

I have so many makes to share with you and I’m going to try and post more regularly. I’ve also been working on a couple of brand new animals I can’t wait to show you, plus new bear and dog patterns to add to my keepsake family 🧸🐶 As soon as I get a moment to make them up, I’ll share them.

I also have a new full price list. Due to rising material costs, I’ve had to make a small price increase, however I’ve kept my standard bear (my most popular keepsake) at the same price. Keeping my keepsakes as affordable as possible has always been so important to me 🤍

I now offer optional add-ons such as embroidery, extra clothes, hats and more, so you can really tailor your bear to exactly what you want. I’ll always confirm everything (including the final price) before I start.

My order list is quite long, so I also offer an express service for an additional £20 per item. This means your keepsake will be made within a couple of weeks of receiving the clothing ✨

I wanted to share one of my recent makes with you.

Last year I was asked to make some cushions and hearts in memory of a much loved husband and dad 💙

When they were ready to go home my customer asked if I could also make her a large bear from the remaining clothing.

I’m so happy with how he came together and I manage to use a piece from every item I had left.

He’s now gone home and I hope he brings back many happy memories for my lovely customer.

This is one of the 2 large bears I offer. He can be personalised with wording, dates, names or sayings.
