Recently I have been asked to review a few books that revolve around the divine feminine. Now, we all know that I'm very outspoken on mysognistic natures and the Alpha Male idiocy but sadly it can go for women too with misandry but let's also not forget Misogynoir in all of this!
There's alot of these books and podcasts currently turning up of "what archetype are you" and the dark feminine, which then taps into the Fem Fatale archetype. And alot more recently the use of Alpha Females.
Let's not do this!
Alpha is a term that men who lack control, love to use. They want a woman who is 100% submissive, someone they can manipulate into who they want, effectively someone they can abuse in the long run. This is the same for the Alpha Female, just roles reserved.
The term Alpha Male is archaic in nature..... Cave man bashes chest, feeds woman roooaarrrrr.... Nah we are 100's of years past that. If you were to ask a woman what she wanted, you'd likely get the answer of a mutual and respectful partnership. One where you both bring value to the table but where, if she needed to feel protected, she's already got that with you. One where she can relax and let her guard down knowing that you have her back..... Being a manly provider doesn't ever need to be toxic, you see the masculine energy people talk of knows when it is needed, knows it can be still + quiet, whilst providing the security needed. But the same goes for the feminine energy, this is what these books do not tell you..... That masculine and feminine energy is not gender specific, both are within us all and we will switch back and forth.
You can stand in your power and not knock others down, you can stand in your power and respect others.
I'm all for equality and bringing to the table, what I am not for is the knocking down of others to make you feel better.
