provide event spaces & co-working space in the heart of Shoreditch. The recent expansion has opened up even more room for launches, conferences, takeovers and ambitious productions, while upstairs a buzzing community of creative businesses call the building home!

Two east London neighbours, both building something with a little more intention behind it. It felt only right that we got together for a chat - and headed straight to the rails.

What a treat!!

As a fashion designer we fully respect, hearing Martine play & discuss her selection of meaningful vinyl from her collection was something else. 💚🪩

✨ Sound Values ✨
An incredible name for the night. The idea that what you listen to, what you let in, what you stand by, permeates everything you make and how you show up.
Showing up well in life. Being passionate. Being present. Being consistent. Having the greater good at heart. Being of sound values.

Martine worked at Plastic People in Shoreditch in 2006, and the owner’s bottom line for music was ‘integrity and quality’. We’re pretty sure she’s that exact same owner in her own company now.

She described the night ‘Forward’ where sometimes only 10 people were on the dance floor, but it was the most focussed 10 people ever, and it didn’t change the vibe of the 250 cap venue.
Most places would read that as a failed night. They read it as the point. How Pure!

It took us back to Topshop around that time, when Tara from design would walk us through boards of whatever subcultures were bubbling up. Nu Grave, Nu Rave boards anyone? The Horrors, The Klaxons.

Hats off to and for giving culture that kind of space. We wonder how much of that still happens in buying offices when so much is filtered through digital lenses, hope it does!

Fashion is what you soak in, feel, and pass on through how you make others feel.

The fashion world is a strange place right now. Amazon buying the Met Gala, Galliano at Zara, SJP at Primark in NYC. The list of money brokered disappointments goes on.

We were chatting it all through with the brilliant .pourhashemi yesterday. Staying true to ‘Sound Values’, is so vitally needed.

It’s why we’re doing our Summer Series of micro raves in Dalston with .fm and all the brilliant brands and businesses in our universe. More details soon 👀 we all need the rave. 😜🪩

B CORP - WHY BOTHER?

It’s B Corp Month and, as a proud B Corp, we thought we’d share why we bothered (because honestly… it is a lot of bother).

B Corp is a global certification for businesses that balance profit with purpose and meet high standards of social and environmental impact, transparency, and accountability.

We did it so our community knows the values we talk about are real. We wanted to be scrutinised, held to high standards, and independently assessed so you can trust what we stand for.

At the start of our journey we were inspired by a global B Corp brand born in Margate. We knew we wanted to do the same for fashion.
