Transporter T5 in for a much needed speaker upgrade.

The jl audio ones which had been in there for quite a while had started to failed and after an inspection we found the rotten wooden adapters !! 😅. This is why we don’t use wooden adapters and use ABS plastic instead!!

We fitted a set of HERTZ CENTO CK 165L components. With abs adapters and water rain guard for the doors. And one our Transporter ABS tweeter plates to mount the tweeter in the factory locations.

These are powered from a beautiful GENESIS 4 ultra which was already in the vehicle. This amplifier combined with the HERTZ speakers sounds spectacular !!

We also fitted a roof mount DAB/FM aerial to get better reception as the factory signals in these transporters are 💩

Porsche 911 Carrera 4s we had in for APPLE CARPLAY and ANDROID AUTO added to the factory PCM3 Headunit. As well as an auto lights add on module for the vehicles driving lights. Giving the car a more modern feel for a more enjoyable driving experience. 😎🔊

Earlier on this year we had back in with his neck breaking Vito van for stage 3 of its audio upgrade .

This visit we added a whole rear audio setup which sounds and looks incredible. You may have seen and heard this playing at a few shows throughput the show season as we completed this around march time.

In the rear, extra to the equipment we already previously fitted. we added ….

1 x HELIX M ONE X- 1100w rms mono amplifier
1 x HELIX M SIX DSP - 6 x 100w rms amp with 10 channel inbuilt processor
1 x HELIX CONDUCTOR - to control the volume
2 x HERTZ MILLE PRO MP 300 D4.3 - 12” 600w rms subwoofer
2 x custom built ported subwoofer enclosures tuned to 33hz
4 x HERTZ SPL SHOW SV165 Neo -6.5” Pa midrange drivers
2 x HERTZ SPL SHOW ST 25A Neo - compression tweeters
2 x 5 gallon air tanks (ready for stage 4)

All new side and roof panels made, new trim panel round the amps. New thicker floor with durable carpet , trim panels round the front of the storage draws, LED lighting, sound deadening.

This build is never ending. More work is booked in and I can’t wait to get working on it again and add more equipment 👀😂.

BIG BASS setup we did for a returning customer with his transit custom. 🔊🔊

This visit was for a custom 6th order band pass enclosure to house 2 VIBE BLACKDEATH C HEX 15” 5000w rms subwoofers.

We fitted 2 of our 56ah lithium batteries 🔋 which is been charged by a 400a upgraded alternator we previously fitted. Which is supplying plenty of juice for the setup! 💪🏻

Then we fitted one of our POWERUS PW10,000w mono amplifier to get the subs moving !!

This bass setup was ripping the van to shreds within minutes of setting it up!! 😂 but the bass was HEAVY!! and the customer was a happy chap!!

VIBE AUDIO powerbox 400.1m mono amplifier

HELIX COMPOSE CB K165.2-S3 - 6.5” Component Set in the front with custom tweeter mounts made in house

HELIX COMPOSE CB C690.2-S3 - 6”x9” Coaxial Speakers in the rear shelf corners in the factory locations

HELIX K 8E.2 8” ported subwoofer

The system now sounds fantastic and customer was over the moon with the outcome. 🔊🔊

Mk7 golf R we had in for a big bass setup !! 🔊

We built a custom enclosure to house a MONSTROUS 15” sub from DEAF BONCE !! Painted gloss black internally With Perspex panel with logo etching and lit up with some green LEDS.

We fitted an uprated 320+ amp externally regulated alternator to keep one of our 80ah LTO lithium batteries topped up, while giving plenty of power to the DEAF BONCE 8000w rms amplifier.

We also fitted a HELIX DSP MINI MK2 to obtain the audio signals from the factory Headunit and tuned the sub output to get the most from the low end. And also giving us the outputs needed for upgrading the door speakers on the next stage of the build.

This thing really SLAPS out them low notes 😎🔊

Audi a5 - visit 2 to add some more upgrades!

A few days later this customer booked the car back in with us to upgrade the rear speakers to match the front, and add in a more powerful amplifier to power the new speakers to get as much volume as possible from them.

So in the rear we fitted the HELIX COMPOSE CI3 6.5” coaxial speakers.

Then to keep amps matching in the boot we fitted a ZR6004 4 channel from phoenix gold. These are compact in size with great build quality with plenty of power!! We have been very impressed by these.

After installing the new amplifier the new HELIX compose speakers really came to life !! Very clean crisp sound, bags of punch and lots of volume !! This was the first time using these new helix speakers and all I can say is wow!! We will definitely be using these again! they are Well worth the money!! 🔊🔊

Audi a5 from the end of last year we had in the workshop for an audio upgrade. This was visit 1 of 2.

The first job was to sort out the front end speakers as when this customer bought the car no sound was coming out the front. After stripping the door cards off we found no speakers in the doors !! 😅

So this perfect time to upgrade to something new.

So we went for the latest HELIX compose CI3 8” component set With DODO sound deadening. For now these were run from the factory Bose amplifier which sounded great but lacked volume Due to the Bose amplifier.

The next job the customer desperately wanted a loud bass setup to shake the car.

So we fitted a ZBMAX112P 12” subwoofer in a ported enclosure from phoenix gold which was powered by a ZR10001 also from phoenix gold. This little setup packs some serious punch and drops the lows great!!

We had back in the work shop at the end of last year to add some more audio parts.

This visit we have fitted a HELIX DSP MINI mk2 so we can adjust each driver separately to get the it sounding the best it can. We mounted this is the front passenger foot area where an amplifier use to be. With a trim panel made from black acrylic with our logo etched into it.

Picture 2 you can see the frequency response from the door builds with no Eq.

Pic 3 if after we took some RTA readings we adjust frequencies to flatten it out to the target line (green is the midranges , red is the tweeters )

Pic 4 is the RTA reading after the eq adjustments had been made which is nearly flat as possible where we want it

During the adjustments we were tweaking output gain, eq , crossover points and slopes to get the desired effect.

The outcome is a much nicer smoother sound, as well as gaining more clean volume as we no longer have any peaky frequencies.

A great addition to any audio installation to get the very most from the system !! 🔊🔊🔊😎

Another transit custom came through the workshop recently for a plug n play amplifier upgrade to help get some extra volume from the factory speakers.

The POWERBOX65.4m from with the correct T harness for the sync 3 system is the optimum choice as a really simple and cost effective plug n play upgrade to get more clean volume from your vehicle. 🔊🔊

A returning customer brought his Brand new Ford transit tipper in recently for a heavy duty reverse camera and rear view monitor display.

This builder needed a reverse camera solution to help hitch up his trailer easier on his own as well as having a visual aid for reversing as the beds on these are wide and the over hang is deceiving and it can be really easy to hit something. (As the owner had already found out which is what prompted the visit to us.)
