Tomorrow (Thursday 20th) sees the Lloyds Tour Of Britain women's race come through Longridge at around 12.45pm, passing right past our shop. We'll be closed for the day as we're heading to Clitheroe to watch the start, and then on to Blackpool for the sprint finish.
Women's cycling has exploded over the past few years and this will be the biggest ever edition of the Lloyds Tour. If you've never watched a live bike race, get outside and cheer the girls along - it's quite a spectacle! 🚴🚴‍♀🚴🚴‍♀🚴🚴‍♀🚴

As the wedding season is in full swing, here's a reminder that we can print as well as frame photos from your special day. We use a state-of-the-art Canon 12-colour "giclée" system producing archival quality, guaranteed light-fast images on a variety of papers and canvases. Good news and bad news. The bad news is that Market Place is closed once again, with no communication with businesses about how long it might be closed for.
Plenty of good news though, they seem to have dug in the right part of the road, ie. where the water has been bubbling through the tarmac for 2 years, so maybe it'll be third-time-lucky! 🤞
Also, we're open as usual for bespoke picture framing, fine-art printing/reproduction, canvases, repairs and restoration. And there's plenty of parking within the closed-off area outside the shop. 🙂

Market Place is still closed to traffic but we're open as usual today. If coming from Kestor Lane side, parking is available on Fell Brow, or if coming up Berry Lane/King Street, you can still park outside the shop. Give me a ring if you need help carrying anything 🙂

MARKET PLACE ROADWORKS UPDATE
Spoke to the foreman from UU today, they were unable to locate the leak, which should come as a surprise to absolutely nobody, as they dug up the wrong side of the road. As a result, they plan to fill in the hole, re tarmac it and go home. So, after digging up the road twice (they located the leak first time) they’ll come back sometime in the future when the tarmac has crumbled more and more damage has been done to Kestor Lane, and people’s cars.

An experienced, trained artist, Deb has recently started selling her art from her shop on Warwick Street and has a wide range of originals and prints on display. It's well worth a visit! 🙂🎨

DAY 2 OF ROAD CLOSURE
Still no update from United Utilities who downed tools after lunch yesterday and haven't even turned up today! Must be too hot for them. 🙄
We're still working though, if you're visiting today, you can pull up in front of the road block at the top of Berry Lane 🙂

We may still have roadworks here on Market Place, but we appear to have also gained a beer garden! 😎🍺☀️
