The Ber months are just 2 weeks away and if you know me, you know I LIVE for this bit of the year πŸ‚

Even more so this time because it means my god-daughter is finally going to be here (yes, I will be vanishing for a manic dash to Swaffham the second she arrives, don't say I didn't warn you πŸ˜‚ well maybe not the second she arrives but soon after πŸ˜‚)

I'm quiet at the minute so between clearing up Little Pickle's mess while she creates more behind me πŸ˜‚, I'll be working on expanding the Halloween and Christmas ranges. For now though, these are ready to order:
πŸŽƒ Halloween Countdown calendars
πŸŽƒ Plush Pumpkin Trick or Treat bags
πŸŽƒ Halloween stick lights
🎨 Paint Your Own sets

Well today I've learnt there are far too many judgemental people in the home exchange groups πŸ˜‚

Take it from me β€” don't post photos unless you spend your entire life cleaning and doing nothing else. Forgot to hoover? Got a dark carpet that shows every fibre even seconds after you've hoovered it? Forget it, you'll just get called dirty πŸ˜‚

And don't even get me started on children making mess during the school holidays. Genuinely, as far as some of these people are concerned you might as well sell the kids if you're doing a social housing exchange, because apparently children being children just "isn't acceptable" πŸ™„

People wonder why I'm leaning more and more towards just renting privately πŸ˜‚

Anyone else had a run in with the home swap group police?? Tell me I'm not alone here πŸ‘‡

That government alert caught me in a state that can only be described as 'structurally unsupported'.

Phone going absolutely berserk. Me flailing around like I'd forgotten how legs work. Me quickly thinking "we can't be in a war. I have no bra on!". Bra is the wash basket where it has been since Tuesday and, frankly, where it will stay.

Turns out it was a wildfire warning. Not the apocalypse. I did not need to locate any undergarments.

How long did it take you to get to the end of the message and remember how breathing works? πŸ˜‚

That moment when you realise you've got a big occasion coming up and absolutely no idea what to get.

I've got something in mind for exactly that. Five people, that's all I need.

Nan's birthday, your anniversary, your other half's milestone, whatever it is, comment ME and I'll message you directly.

My kid's name labels have survived a full school year of weekly washes and I'm taking it personally that they look better than me.

Nearly every Saturday in the machine. Not one has peeled. Not one has faded. The jumper it was on has basically disintegrated but the label is fine.

That's DTF transfer for you. It bonds into the fabric rather than sitting on top going crispy by half term.

Back in stock now, just in time for September panic-buying.

20 labels, Β£4.00
30 labels, Β£5.50
50 labels, Β£7.50

Comment below or send me a message and I'll get you sorted.

Party bags are the ambush nobody prepares you for.

Venue? Sorted. Cake? Sorted. Pass the parcel wrapped in seventeen layers of sellotape? Sorted. And then your brain goes: oh. Oh no.

Build Your Own Party Bags is exactly what it sounds like. You pick what goes in them, I deal with the rest. Personalised stickers on the bags, around five fillers, plus add-ons if you want to go a bit extra.

They turn up ready to hand out. You just have to survive the party.

What do we think?

I have prepared for today's solar eclipse using exclusively methods that don't work.

No glasses. Sold out everywhere. Ran out of tin foil last week so the pinhole projector is a no. I have, against all odds, achieved a complete set of failures.

If you've got glasses, brilliant. Don't stare directly at it without them and don't point your phone camera at it either. Eyes before content.

As for me, I'll be watching a once-in-a-generation astronomical event on a we**am stream.

There is genuinely no more British way to experience this and I have fully made my peace with it.

However even if you are missing it then here's a visual representation. Who remembers this advert?

Getting a fresh pair of eyes on your Etsy shop is genuinely one of the better things I've done for the business.

Getting that report back on your birthday while sitting on a park bench waiting for swimming lessons to start is a very specific kind of chaos I did not predict. Apparently even my birthday is not a good enough reason to miss a swimming lesson πŸ˜‚

Edits, then a Chinese, then back to packing shapes. Long gone are the days of birthday cocktails.

I'm not sad about it. I'm a little bit sad about it. πŸ˜‚

She rode Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin so many times they actually asked if she wanted to stay on. The Priority Pass queue manager had nobody waiting so just... offered. That is the most chaotic Pixie Dust I have ever witnessed.

So naturally I made her pyjamas about it.

Then a second pair designed to look like one of those 'I'm celebrating' Disney badges, so she can wear them in the hotel and probably the parks as well knowing her. And yes, I am already planning a hoodie. And yes, she has already announced she is spending her birthday entirely in World of Frozen in her Spirit Elsa dress. I am just the costume department.

Pyjamas start at Β£11.50 if yours has similarly strong opinions about their wardrobe.

Nearly running out of fuel near Guildford last time taught me a very important lesson.

So before we leave Norfolk today, I'm filling up first. No arguments.

It's been a lovely few days but Portsmouth is unfortunately calling. Once I'm home and rested, tomorrow will be plaster shapes, soaps on the telly, and birthday cake. Someone was kind enough to make it for me and I cannot wait. πŸŽ‚
